Hi all
Those of you that have me on fb will have noticed i recently went to Munich for a holiday. While there i used the U-Bahn (Munichs underground system). People complain about how the london underground copes however at least it doesnt shut down in a thunder storm which is what happened on the Sunday night i was there. Also most of the trains look like they have come from the 60s with manually opening doors (they do close automatically though) and look like theyve come from ski resorts and converted for tube use, but they do have some newer ones. Other then that the U-Bahn coped very well and was totally to time and was easy to use. With a ticket costing 10 euros 20 cents for a days group travel on the u-bahn, tram and bus it was very reasonable too.
Thanks Jay

I did go on a few buses a bit only from the Campsite to the U-Bahn which outside summertime was run half hourly by mini mercs however in the summer was boosted to every 10 mins using Citaros on Thalkirckhen U-Bahn to Campingplatz shorts.
