Been doing a project on tropical storms as part of my degree, and so I've been researching Hurricane Sandy as part of it. More I discover, the more awful it seems to be - the effects on parts of the Caribbean have been awful.
Also rare to get a storm of such intensity so far north, given the colder waters round New York (and the Tropics/hurricane belt being well south of there)

Well i seen a picture of a town in Cuba which have been torn to pieces. heart breaking. But i hope everything gets restored as soon as possible. But i predict that gas/petrol would go up. and fares go up for the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of the transport services.

New York City black out. During Hurricane Sandy. Two MTA buses on the M2 and M5 stopping in the middle of the road with hazards.
