I have a limited understanding of bits of German, Italian and a smattering of spoken Japanese (can't read it unfortunately) having visited twice and watched Japanese lessons on NHK World. I could probably cope with a bit of Spanish as there are some similarities with parts of French.

I can only speak English though I will at some point actually try and learn Polish seeing as I'm from the actual country!
Apart from the obvious French words like Bonjour & Oui, I know two words which are quite random
parc d'attractions - amusement park fatigué (pronounced fat tea gay) - tired
I also know a phrase in spanish that a Cuban work colleague taught me
esto es una mierda - this is sh*t ;D

Well obviously English, as its my native language. I learnt German at school but I have never used it in the 14 years since I left so I'm rather rusty at it now! Despite never having any lessons in it, I'd consider Spanish (Catalan) to be my second language due to my frequent visits there to visit my Aunt and late Uncle. I've learnt enough to be comfortable over there. I've also learnt various phrases in Polish and Punjabi! due to the large influx of Indians and Poles at my work place. My Girlfriend is from Pakistan, she wants me to learn Urdu.......Thats gonna be hard!!
