Were actually instructed not to pick up at Prince Regent stn for that reason of being kicked off at Airport. Prince regent stn also increases departers for Prince regenct lane ie 300,147 so gives more options with little effect.

I wonder why the 573 is still not showing on LVF.

I wonder why the 573 is still not showing on LVF. The standing data that Countdown uses is typically updated fortnightly on a Thursday night. The 573 was clearly missing from the last one. It might get sorted out this week.

Route learning has now begun for a newly awarded shuttle service. The 574 which will basically run from Beckton to north Woolwich I believe via the 474 routing.

Finally it had to happen as there was no bus from woolwich manor way down to north woolwich. It just means northbound there will be 3 routes from the ferry unless the 574 runs dead back to Beckton. Will it run 24 hours or as the same times as the 573.

TfL have announced that the 573 and 574 shuttles end this weekend. The 473 and 474 will run again to or via North Woolwich via a new link road at the Airport but Albert Rd is only served in the eastbound direction. Therefore there are special transfer ticket arrangements in place with people travelling from the Albert Rd area having to travel via City Airport or North Woolwich and change buses as necessary. I suspect it's a recipe for chaos unless there is very clear info about the transfer ticket arrangement.

This may be a bit of topic but the 473 merely exists to support the 262 and serves the airport but not that significant. I would hope that if a Gallions reach bridge was to be built it could be extended. Maybe it could be extended to stratford international and bring the 241 back to stratford as it hasn't been successful.

So the residents of Silvertown / North Woolwich only got a bus service because the 262 needs support? not sure where you got that idea from?

You know as well as I do that the patronage is between stratford and plaistow yh it gives a link for north woolwich residents but the main feature is the airport and an alternative to some dlr stations. At stratford sometimes you can see 3-4 473's standing

As much as they parallel each other with one being busier than the other the 473 does have some significance. I often see people from South of the river use this route to get to Stratford. Would there be a point swapping the 241 & 473? I doubt there would be much difference in usage between Stratford and Stratford City.

Should be curtailed at city airport, for the usage between there and Woolwich it's a complete waste of time especially with the delays if the ferry is playing up.
And before anyone says I've never had more than 10 people on between the airport and the ferry and that's max even in the peaks!

If it is so lightly used why did they not just cut it back while the crossrails works took place and why did they introduce a shuttle bus 573? I am genuinely shocked it is so lightly used!

It wasn't like that a good few years ago - there would be a queue of people at North Woolwich heading towards the Airport and a decent load in the opposite direction. Mind you, this was when the 474 was still run with Lolynes.

Well I feel that the 262 will struggle at Stratford on it's own if the 473 went to Stratford International so bringing the 241 back to Stratford would help to ease the congestion between Stratford and Plaistow with the 262. As for the 473 it may be more efficient to go to Stratford City as there may be passengers who want to go to Plaistow Greengate or beyond which is a useful link which is not served by the 241 and does provide a lot of interchange to other bus routes. And in the unlikely event of a future extension the 473 will become more significant providing strong connections across the DLR network.
