Started a new thread (Hope this is OK) to discuss the future of First Dagenham (Slight fantasy as nothing decided).
This follows on from the Upton Park garage topic.
My money is on Arrive if anybody moving in. DX is a very basic almost full garage is is located very close to DM. I can see Arriva buying the remaining routes too.
My question is could GAL buy the garage and routes? I thought GAL was pretty much at the maximum market share in London? I guess they could buy the garage but not the routes but the First would be left with running the routes from LI which is not ideal.
The other option could be Stagecoach buying it and the routes and closing Rainham as I doubt it would be able to justify both garages.
The other option is allocate a share of route 25 to DM and maybe the 58?

I've heard a rumor that Stagecoach are buying Dagenham and maybe one or two more in the east end and all of the other First garages are being sold to Metroline apart the Lee Vally garage because of the hydrogen base and I'm guessing they are keeping that because of contractual reasons due to the hydrogen testing.

Stagecoach refused it before the losses I am sure the price will be much lower now. Also it is more the fact the garage can't really survive it its current form with the losses. There are hardly any routes up for tender in east London in the next few years apart from 205,262,372,473.

At this time, it has yet to be confirmed that Metroline are buying up the western side of First London & the same for Stagecoach in the east.

Well considering first only have two garages in east london and lea interchange is one of them. It blows that Theory/rumour out of the window.

It would be nice for the RATP group to buy some of them, they were a potential bidder for ELBG before Stagecoach bought it.

Loads of rumors going around the garage at the moment.
I think it makes sense for go ahead to buy DM, close BE and SI and transfer everything to DM. But thats just a guess.

If anything like that happens the 20 should move to NP. SI should still remain open with its current routes and the 300 to return to SI once 425 has left. Closing garages could result in redundancies.
