The 178, 273, 354, 356 did not particularly cover the losses at all really - they total 27 PVR. The loss of the 54, 75, 160, 181, 202, 284 represents 75 PVR. (approx) Stagecoach shouldn't really have a reason to close TB, anyway. Londonbusboy commented one time that if the 51 & 96 are lost then TB work would be housed at PD and TL. This would result in job losses. Tbh I don't want to see that happening.. Yeah when i originally posted that i did mention take it as a rumour

Londonbusboy commented one time that if the 51 & 96 are lost then TB work would be housed at PD and TL. This would result in job losses. Tbh I don't want to see that happening.. As the resident Stagecoach manager said he would not propose that happening as it would make the company have issues in the long term. I much prefer that opinion as hes the boss. Gnicholas i believe is the tendering man for Stagecoach Selkent and is in the know. Here is his reply to my post 'Ok, here goes. If PD lose the 51 it would enable us to close a garage in Selkent as the overall spare capacity would be sufficient to do so. However, it is not my intention to recommend this unless Selkent got to a position where there can be no rational argument to keep all three sites open - an outcome we will be working hard to avoid I can assure you but, as the announcement yesterday proved, one tender outcome can force you to ask some very searching questions about the portfolio based on changes in workload, and even to the point of volume of work in specific areas. Will tendering prevent us, or any company in the London bus market, closing another garage - not at all. Do we have any plans to close any Selkent garages at this time - not at this time. I hope this suitably answers the points raised and will calm some of the rumours. ' It doesn't seemed to be ruled out but i am sure they would look into all possible solutions before having to close or mothball TB

It would also end up with a lot of contracts either becoming totally unviable/surrendered, for example the 246, 314 would have a lot of trouble running from elsewhere. Bromley isn't far from TL so it wouldn't pose a problem to the 246, however I agree with you in regard to the 314, that could cause some issues.

Westerham - Catford is a joke.

Westerham to Catford would be a complete nightmare though, I remember there being enough trouble when an Enviro200 broke down in Westerham and another bus had to come from TB!

BE is full I wonder how they have to manage squeezing all the buses in that yard. Also, I think DX is full but they should have space for the loss of 275 and 462 so I don't know.

I just had a look on this list and I looked under WS and it said that they light maintenance, so where is the heavy maintenance done for their routes or is it done at TF?
