111 has one heck of a diversion today in Hampton skipping around 10-12 stops due to over 15 vehicles (from various routes) sustaining damage from trees. Is this damage caused by a problem on one of the roads, such as overhanging trees which has damaged buses. Or did 15 buses get whacked by trees in various locations and the 111 is on diversion due to less buses than usual being available? Sounds like the same one that recently that missed out most of Hampton, including the station. That was between Hampton School and A308 Thames Street, diverted via Hanworth Road (the R70 bit plus some extra), A312 Uxbridge Road, High Street and Church Street.

Exact same diversion as 2 weeks ago. Had a chat with the driver and buses keep coming back to the depot with smashed windows so it’s either trees or some kids catapulting rocks at the windows.

Just spotted a 185 and 2 75’s in Brockley heading down Brockley grove towards Ladywell. Unsure where is closed but guessing it’s down hear catford bridge.
Edit Catford hill is closed where it meets stanstead road
171 is somehow turning down Brockley grove at crofton park.
202 is the most affected also diverted through Brockley/Ladywell then back towards catford.

I live on the area and I think its completely useless? There is no one around during midnight anyway and is just for a random diversion because of “social distancing”? Footpaths are big enough at Euston Road during midnight for people to be 2 metres maybe even more apart.

And there is very little traffic around at midnight so surely that's the best time to get the work done? Unfortunately it looks like social distancing is going to be with us for the foreseeable future.

Might be wrong but I read it has works taking place to expand pavements etc to enable social distancing.

Burst water main in Farnborough Common, affecting the 358 the most. Route temporarily restructured to run to and from Green Street Green (MB), then head to Orpington via Sevenoaks Road, double run the High Street as usual, then up Crofton Road towards Locksbottom, mirroring 353, not double running via the station as well, then taking A21 towards Bromley, and the opposite in reverse direction. It's expected to last possibly even as far as Monday! Traffic is also very bad, MB ferry buses were like 30-40mins late!

I looked on Google Maps and the section of road closed off is quite large. Starts Hill Road & Crofton Road are taking a lot of the strain. If not fixed by Monday Bromley Common, Locksbottom & Orpington are going to become a slow moving car park. Is the 261 R3 & R4 still able to serve Princess Royal Hospital? I see on the map the road is closed from that section

I went to check and the A21 is only fully blocked off between The ends of Starts Hill (Farnborough end) & Hilda Vale Road

From 8pm on 2nd August, Vauxhall Bridge will be closed to cars, vans and trucks.
The closure is expected to last until late November as Tfl carry out "safety critical repair works".
Acess will be maintained for pedestrians, cyclists and SOUTHBOUND buses and coaches.
Buses and coaches heading NORTH towards Victoria will be diverted.
According to TfL some weekend and evening closures for all of the bridge traffic will be required.

Will definitely be interesting to see how this affects the buses and which way they will go. Possibility they'll use Lambeth Bridge or Chelsea Bridge instead. I haven't seen any confirmed details of diversions as of yet. If anyone knows please give me a reply.
A lot of disruption can be expected from this I imagine.

As far as I know buses will be diverted by Lambeth Bridge. The potential traffic will be horrific! Even more so whenever Westminster Bridge closes, which it does often in relation to events at Parliament Square.
