From 8pm on 2nd August, Vauxhall Bridge will be closed to cars, vans and trucks. The closure is expected to last until late November as Tfl carry out "safety critical repair works". Acess will be maintained for pedestrians, cyclists and SOUTHBOUND buses and coaches. Buses and coaches heading NORTH towards Victoria will be diverted. According to TfL some weekend and evening closures for all of the bridge traffic will be required. _________________________________ Will definitely be interesting to see how this affects the buses and which way they will go. Possibility they'll use Lambeth Bridge or Chelsea Bridge instead. I haven't seen any confirmed details of diversions as of yet. If anyone knows please give me a reply. A lot of disruption can be expected from this I imagine. R.I.P To Victoria - Vauxhall - WandsworthRoad - BatterseaPark - ChelseaBridge

As far as I know buses will be diverted by Lambeth Bridge. The potential traffic will be horrific! Even more so when Westminster bridge often closes in relation to events at Parliament Square. This could have potential bad knock on effects for the 2 if everyone switches to the Victoria Line

Cars, vans and trucks will be forced to use Chelsea Bridge daily between 7am and 10pm daily to avoid the congestion charge leading to traffic carnage in both directions on the bridge approach both sides of the river. I imagine the best route for diverted northbound buses and coaches will be via Lambeth Bridge avoiding Chelsea Bridge altogether.

Quite interesting that, should the southbound side of the bridge be closed at some point, the left turn on Chelsea Bridge (from Grosvenor Road) is temporarily banned due to the street space programme, which is even worse because they'll either be forced to go via Lambeth Bridge and be charged or go further down to Albert Bridge

This is unless there's plans to curtail it back to Vauxhall.

Due to water works along Luxted Road and a burst water main on New Road Hill, Downe Village is currently without a bus service. The 146 is turning at Keston Church whilst the R8 is on diversion away from Downe, think its missing out the Jail Lane Hail and Ride section entirely. This is the fourth time that there's been a burst water main along New Road Hill and its rather outrageous that every time they fix it it only goes and bursts again!

If you come to Euston, you won’t be surprised. It bursts like every six months and then is shut for about 2 months to replace it or fix it. The 91/168 then always becomes a mess while the 59 and 68 get curtailed.

The E3 is on diversion via South Parade, Beaconsfield Road and Acton Lane due to the roadworks on Southfield Road missing out stops between Turnham Green Station and Meon Road.

Does anyone know when TfLbusalerts on twitter is going to start posting again. Information like this is very useful but how many people know about the NMCC bus network dasboard very few I think.

I do wonder if it would be better for the passengers if that light run on the 170s was done in service as a diversion with 1 per hour going LOR and all others divert via Vauxhall Bridge.

Quite possible. Also there's been a slight ammendment. Following further assessment of the delays, the service agreement will now be implemented from 1500hrs till 2000hrs every day till Friday 14th August 2020.

The iBus has been updated on routes 2, 36, 185 and 360 in response to the long term diversion.
The following stops are served/displaying on the iBus:
Vauxhall Cross Tinworth Street Salamanca Street Lambeth Bridge (South Side) Lambeth Bridge (North Side) Tate Britain/Millbank MillenM Pier Vauxhall Bridge Road
Strangely enough, this means the 360 does a loop and the first 3 stops of the diversion has the 360 in both directions.
