The 152 were diverted over the last night via commonside east, due to scheduled work on the Mitcham Eastfield's level crossing.

A little bit earlier today London bridge bus station was closed and the buses terminated on the bridge bus stop then went to the Hop Exchange terminus site where they would park up, like in the late 2012 station works. I'm not sure if The Hop Exchange is the first stop for these buses again or not.

During this week resurfacing work is being carried out at the Bounces Road/Montagu Road/Picketts Lock Lane junction resulting in the 191 and W8 being diverted.
The 191 will run direct via Hertford Road and will not serve Bounces Road or Nightingale Road, whilst the W8 will be diverted via(I believe) Hertford Road, Nags Head Road, Lea Valley Road then Meridian Way to the cinema.

The roadworks are going to happen until late August. And the 7 is currently terminating at Oxford Circus, hence why the 98 has been diverted away. Although I really don't know why they didn't just make the 98 go to Oxford C., then make the 7 go via the diversion in place. Surely that would make more sense, rather than seeing 98 drivers slightly struggle with the tight roads in Bloomsbury

If the 10.1m VPs are struggling with the tight turn in Bloomsbury then won't the 10.8m SELs struggle too?

But yeah...I think it's because the drivers just aren't used to those kind of roads. I was on a 98 on Great Russell St, and I could tell the driver was being a bit cautious as there where cars parked on the road making it quite narrow.

Surely that would make more sense, rather than seeing 98 drivers slightly struggle with the tight roads in Bloomsbury The reason for the 7's curtailment is that trying to divert it round the back roads of Fitzrovia and then to Russell Square would blow all the rosters and driving time meaning it would cost TfL a lot of money for a temporary change - more buses and more drivers. Clearly TfL looked in the piggy bank and it was empty hence the rather inelegant solution of diverting the 98 where schedules are rather looser and therefore the short term variation is cheaper. {info courtesy of Yahoo London Transport group and a person who knows all about Metroline's inner workings!} The 7 is also about to start a new contract and I doubt Metroline would want it to be loss making from day one courtesy of some unexpected roadworks!

Route 314 is currrently on diversion in the Elmstead Woods Area until Friday. The diversion is via Sundridge Avenue (section not normally used), Yester Road and Walden Road in both directions. The width restriction along the section of Sundridge Avenue that the 314 doesnt normally use has been removed.

I believe Elmstead Lane was closed over the weekend and up until at least yesterday morning the diversion was from Plaistow Green into Burnt Ash Lane, right at Grove Park into Chinbrook Road, follow Grove Park Road around into Mottingham Road and left onto William Barefoot Drive and line of route and yes, that's a pretty hefty chunk of the route not being served!

Call from Centrecomm went out yesterday evening about changing it to the short diversion
