My southbound 45 driver this morning ended up taking a wrong turning on the King's Cross one way system - did a right from King's Cross road onto Swinton Street instead of the parallel Acton Street, meaning he couldn't turn left onto Gray's Inn Road at the far end. Rectified by turning right onto GIR, then right again to perform a cautious squeeze down Britannia Street, resuming line of route on King's Cross Road. He did apologise over the tannoy! Funny you say that, as a northbound 45 I was on yesterday missed a right turn into Gresham Road and had to make a U-turn to get back to the line of route. Blimey, I hope it wasn't the same guy!

Good job it wasn't a southbound 45 coming from the other end of Gresham Road because if you miss that right turn and don't realise, goodbye to your roof. Ironically, before that right turn was installed by the police station in Brixton, the 35, 45, 345 & P4 reached Gresham Road by running via Stockwell Road, Stockwell Walk Park & Brixton Road so London Central had more turns to learn.

Now that London Bridge Station has fully reopened, will routes 47/381/RV1 resume their Eastbound routing via Tooley Street?

Now that London Bridge Station has fully reopened, will routes 47/381/RV1 resume their Eastbound routing via Tooley Street? Presumably at some point but Tooley Street is still closed eastbound at the moment.

Now that London Bridge Station has fully reopened, will routes 47/381/RV1 resume their Eastbound routing via Tooley Street? Nothing public has been stated. I did see a few months back that some people were campaigning to keep traffic going w/b only so as to allow more pedestrian and cycling space in Tooley St. The impact on the bus network wasn't mentioned of course. I certainly think buses should resume two way working but I'm not holding my breath that it will happen. There is still six months worth of work to finish off London Bridge station works completely so it may take that long before traffic arrangements change.

Don’t forget the 343 also serves this section. The road is still only open westbound

The TfL website says that many Central London bus routes will be subject to diversion and curtailment from 18th - 21st Jan during the London Lumiere event. There seem to be displays at Kings Cross, Fitzrovia, Oxford Circus, Trafalgar Square so the potential for disruption is very high.
Wonder if Lumiere will actually work this time - last time it was in London it was a complete shambles with thousands of disappointed people trudging round London looking at displays that didn't work.

There's actually a similar event taking place in Canary Wharf, known as Winter Lights, which was much less crowded last time and has exhibits which were all working and pretty beautiful to look at. I believe it's on at the same time as Lumiere along with the Saturday after and there's no transport disruption for it either.

Currently on a route 109 and Streatham High Road has been closed for some reason. All traffic is diverted through Leigham Court Road.
