Plymouth CityBus is withdrawing the last of its former Go-Ahead London PVLs (Volvo B7TL-Plaxton President). 442 (Y814 TGH) was withdrawn recently, leaving just 433 (X501 EGK) in service - this is expected to be withdrawn after service today (Friday 8th April) as Plymouth school holidays commence next week. The type is not yet extinct in Devon though as Rail-River Link still has a handful for its seasonal service between Paignton and Totnes (Steamer Quay). This service recommenced on 2nd April and will run until the end of October. Plymoyth CityBus still has some ex-London Plaxton Pointer-bodied Dennis Darts in service, and a number of ex-London Enviro400s are also operating in Plymouth with a few more due to arrive. After Plymouth Citybus had some exotic inheritances from elsewhere within GA, especially PVLs from London and PDL types from Brighton, I have been disappointed seeing them focus so strongly on replacing these with new or cascaded E400s.

CityBus has a number of Scania OmniDekkas that were transferred over from Brighton & Hove, routes 34 and 50/51 seem to be favoured haunts. Plus the twelve CNG-powered MANs that came from (?) Anglian Bus. There is still a handful of Mercedes Citaros in service although these are expected to be withdrawn soon as they are expensive to run and spare parts are becoming difficult to source. The four Scania/East Lancs saloons acquired from Thames Travel have been withdrawn now and are at Milehouse Depot awaiting removal.

The fleet still looks to be going largely Enviro 400 though.

Even some buses of the same type, inside the garage would be different height in the morning, due to some fully losing air pressure, and would be the equivalent if the suspension was lowered. Others had the rear completely lowered but front raised giving you a harder step up into the bus; once air pressure was built up it would level out.
