Anyone happen to know where any of the following buses ended up after withdrawal from TfL service? I've been struggling to find any information on these so I still have them listed as simply "withdrawn", though most should have moved on by now. I assume the majority likely went for scrap, hence the lack of photos or other info, but can anyone confirm please?
Arriva London DLA220/619/623/625, PDL80/139/140
Metroline DLD198/201/202/204/205, TP440, TPL267/1524
RATP VA76/96
Tower Transit DP42603/42604

That transfer mind you was about two years ago. Whether she's still there however....

Seems as though Rotala have withdrawn ex Arriva London DW2 and DW4, both have been SORN'd. Shame really, as both were great buses and I would've loved to preserve DW2 in the future.

I will always remember DW2 as being one of the first two buses used on the 60 on its first day of the new contract in 2006, when the firm won it from Travel London. The other bus was DW1.

Further to my post last week about Lothian purchasing ex London B9TLs, this has appeared on the Lothian enthusiast Facebook page:
Here's the internal statement they are going to put out...
We have acquired 50 ex London Wrightbus Gemini E5 Deckers for our business, these will help in removing E3 Plaxton President Dennis Tridents and Wrightbus Gemini 1 Volvo B7TLs from the fleet during 2018, along with additional new vehicle deliveries through the year and meeting our BUS2020 strategy and target of a fleet operating only at E5 or above including diesel hybrid and pure electric.
As you might expect they will be refurbished to Lothian’s exacting standards including the removal of centre doors, air chill units and associated equipment.
High back Lazzerini seats will be fitted along with USB’s, wood effect flooring as seen on our recent new buses, along with replacement energy efficient LED internal lighting, white LED Destination displays and front wheelchair ramps.
Some people on the page are having a bit of a "wibble" at Lothian buying 2nd hand...

Maybe those having a wibble should cough up the money for 50 new vehicles instead then - absolutely nothing wrong with going secondhand. On a separate note, I presume the Gemini's in question are the entire ex 18 allocation that went off lease when it was lost by Metroline?

Will replace some of the euroIII buses 628-825 (and maybe East Coast 20614-20800 about a dozen as gaps) I wonder if they will sell the spare bits for use as spares in London I think we all know a garage or two that might like some spare working smartblind units, or an operable chiller unit, or even some middle door without scratched glass. Sounds like following will also be available; seats, non LED lighting, wheelchair cassette/ramps, and various other TfL fittings. It also means that the secondhand bus market will receive 50 well maintained single door deckers from Lothian, which have a rather more consistent spec with what someone buying a 12-15 year old bus is after. So probably 50 less potential homes for older London deckers.

Some people on the page are having a bit of a "wibble" at Lothian buying 2nd hand... I suspect once they've been refurbished most people will think they're new buses anyway...........maybe TfL could learn a thing or two here?
