Yes on a dart, I know that it happens quite a bit to E400's as they don't have a fuel gauge, I've also been to a petrol Station in TP1 and TP38 to get a fill up, I even got a chocolate bar from the driver of TP1

Earlier enviros only have an adblue gauge but even the gauges on the newer buses shouldnt be relied on as they do become faulty. The year and a half i have been at Bromley a bus has never broke down because of lack of fuel on my shifts.

I remember reading on here about a brand new Go-Ahead E400 breaking down after leaving BV because it ran out of fuel. Can't remember the fleet number but I think it was one from the batches numbered between E163-244.

Up to seven buses ran out of diesel on the same day on the 157, this was back in 2001/2002.

Up to seven buses ran out of diesel on the same day on the 157, this was back in 2001/2002. Probably because they were all getting thrashed too much

I've ran out of fuel driving a Volvo Olympian. There was no spluttering. It just stopped. I didn't even get any lost mileage out of it Nowadays when I'm in a coach I'm directly responsible for making sure it doesn't run out of fuel. My last fill up was £570 lol. Nectar points too.

When it was the Sevenoaks running day in May this year, Go Coach had their ex-Maltese King Long on the route they operate (can't remember the route number) and that ran out of fuel on it last trip of the day. It has a cummins trident engine in it and I'm guessing it goes like sh*t off a shovel!!!!!

What a stupid design, not to have a fuel gauge on a vehicle
