The driver change over point on this route is totally unsuitable. Having two 18's bunched up on Harrow Road often both sides of the road causes delays for the 220 as well as passing traffic.
I think it should be transferred to Alperton.
MODS MSG
I have moved this into the 'Routes' Board so that discussion on route 18 can continue (or develop) away from 'General' discussion.
If any other Mod or Admin disagrees feel free to replace.

RM5chris If you mean the route should be transferred to ON, then I doubt they will have space for route 18 as then 50 B9TLs would have to be transferred there.

I don't think the garage should be changed simply because of the live changeover location, as surely it must contribute to the contract costs. I do, however agree that the positioning of the changeovers is inconvenient too other road users. I can't see anything done to change the issue to be honest.

Obviously other routes would be reshuffled or it could be staffed from ON with buses still garaged at WJ

I also noticed similar issues outside Stamford Brook Garage today.
Aside from the congestion the 18 change over point causes, not a particularly pleasant walking experience to WJ either !
I noticed some buses on the 18 were left there with annoyed passengers seeing other 18's sailing straight past, as it is a request stop !
I am sure there are many many more examples , not having a pop at Metroline singularly

I had one go round me at University College Hospital yesterday only to be waved at by an intending passenger he'd left behind...

Wondering how the changeover location affects the walking experience to WJ as rgd976 states. The walking route to the station from the bus stop remains the same whether buses change over there or not.
