For those who may not be on the relevant Yahoo groups here is a cut and paste of a post from Brian Chenery who invented LVF.

Hi all,
The time has come for the release of the next version (upgrade) of LVF. Rather than just replace the current version and then fix bugs that are found we are going to trial the new version until the feedback suggests that all the standard functionality is working. One known problem at the moment is we are missing a few days of historic data in september but we will cure this shortly.
So whats new ?...... why is a change required ?.... In the best traditions of sales I will go through the Features, Advantages and Benefits......
Features :-
The most immediate thing you will notice is a slightly changed front screen and that when you enter a query the response is almost immediate. Thats because the new version is using the real time feed rather than having to go and enquire from TFL when a request is made.
We have also enabled the system to reference its own screens so will notice a lot of data is now selectable..... perform a list command and the route, vehicle & stops are links..... selecting the vehicle takes you to its history... From route output, vehicle and stops are selectable etc..... saves alot of data entry and more likely to be correct
Advantages :-
Since we see all data for every vehicle in real time the vehicle history is now exact to the minute.... compare the history of LT59 for an example of how much better we are recording vehicle movements....
We are using a different database technology and in theory this should see the system become more reliable..... This may not be apparent initially as we still have to run the current system but should get better in time....
Benefits :-
Faster and more accurate data..... and hopefully less system outages.....
So where can you find the new LVF......
New LVF
Please try it and feedback, both positive and negative.

The feedback is best directed via the LVF user group on Yahoo groups.
