Regarding the 50...expand. Now, 50 - how many schools does it have on the route, I'm just asking? Also there's the media stereotype of Brixton (which it passes), which I think isn't totally true! (111 has Cranford, Heston, Lampton, Kingsley Academy (Hounslow Manor), Heathfield (Hanworth), Hampton Academy, Hampton School, Tiffin Boys (Kingston) all almost/actually on the route, St Marks (Hounslow West), Tiffin Girls (North Kingston) not very far away from the route, so it does suffer as some aren't that "good", some are however "quite good". Obviously not including primary schools) The Sunday rowdy kids, well I'm not sure instead. Anyway - Sunday is also quite bad because of the many people going to the shopping areas of Kingston/Hounslow. And possibly that the previous 111 hadn't exactly ran full route due to traffic? What's the stereotype of Brixton (where I actually live) got to do with the 50 which doesn't even serve the place?

Only been on a small section of the 111, seemed to take a while in traffic but a nice varied route, SPs are okay, 56plate SP 1-15 are best IMO.

It being "very rough" etc. Btw - I completely forgot 50 didn't serve that (I'm kinda tired). 50 is actually an alright route, if I'm honest.

It's only rough if you go to the wrong parts of Brixton, it's becoming slowly yuppified. The 50 is a decent way of getting between to Croydon, it's my 2nd choice after the 468 - I just avoid the 109 & 250 as much as possible!

Not any schools directly along the 50 actually. On my way to college, the only school kids I see in the mornings are girls going to Norbury Manor Business and Enterprise College. The 468 is just as bad as the 109 and 250 IMO (traffic along Norwood can be killer). But obviously, it's much faster to take a 159 to Leigham Court Road, then change for the 50.

Am I right in reading some of you prefer the 10 reg SPs? 108/136/165-190, their slow, I prefer faster buses SP1-15/16-67 bacth, so do the drivers. AV allocation try to allocation fast buses to 111s Hmmm - I prefer the 6 speed SPs (59 plater and newer) to the 5 speeders. The 6 speeders have a working kickdown that works too well sometimes as they're prone to double or triple downshifting if pressing the pedal down whilst cruising.

Indeed, traffic can be a bit chaotic at times along Norwood Road but seems to be only during peak times unlike traffic along the 109 & 250 - I only used the 109 the other day from Croydon just to film VLA153 - otherwise, I would of not bothered.
