I don't know how the 167 is operated from BE and runs all the way to Debden from Ilford. Ilford to BE is a bit of a distance but Debden to BE is too far!

Try HW to UX when the U9 was operated by Arriva and CY or Warnham to Kingston when the 465 was operated by Metrobus or Arriva, both had near nigh 30 miles or more of dead mileage runs.

I don't think anything at Go Ahead can beat Route 20 when it was operated from Rainham. Would have been the same for the 257. Go Ahead are just lucky they got hold of NP Garage to throw those routes in. It does make me question how on Earth did Blue Triangle win the 20 & 257 to operate from a Base as far as Rainham! That is serious dead milage. It surprises me how Stagecoach did not win the 20 and retain the 257.

I think it's fair to say that garages in South East London have faired quite well with closures as the only ones I can think of closing is Sidcup and Arrivas Beddington depot, as BX, NX, PM, PD, TL, TB, Q, BC, TC, C, MB and WL are all still open, so in SE London things can still be run locally but it's all price related now. PM downgraded ED built on You could arguably say that the former Roundabout depot (OB) could count as a now closed SE London bus garage, also both BX and WL have spent time as closed premises, though now of course both are open and thriving
