For anyone wondering why the 75 is terminating at Elmers End today. Metrobus have posted it to their Facebook page. The same will happen on Monday 4th November.

It runs until 05.00 on Monday according to the TFL website. The 157 is diverted via South Norwood Hill and Church Road. I'd have thought the 75 could take the 197/289 route to Croydon and regain its correct route at Spurgeons Bridge?

Are they strengthening both bridges in Norwood Junction? Only reason I ask is that the 130 is terminating in Clifford Road rather than in Grosvenor Road.

Maybe the 130 is just terminating at Clifford Road to avoid the likely traffic congestion? Then again I don't know why it doesn't terminate there in normal circumstances?

I think why it don't terminate there in normal circumstances is so as not to segregate both sides of Norwood Junction - personally, I prefer it going to Grosvenor Road as it allows direct interchange with the 196.

Ideally I think the 130 should be extended via South Norwood Hill and Church Road to Crystal Palace but that's another subject.

For anyone wondering why the 75 is terminating at Elmers End today. Metrobus have posted it to their Facebook page. The same will happen on Monday 4th November. Thank goodness im not doing the 157. The amount of passengers we would pick up to and from west Croydon and norwood junction is not worth thinking about. I can't understand why the 75 will divert to elmers end, instead of serving crystal palace and south norwood hill, which the 157 is doing. Of course, the traffic around crystal palace can be really bad at times and crystal palace are playing at home this Saturday. But the 157 is struggling enough at it is. The 130 to Clifford road is even more baffling as the roadworks are at goat house bridge which the 130 doesn't serve.

The other option allowed is to use London Overground between Sydenham and West Croydon, although I suspect they'll be plenty of PAYG refunds with those using Oyster or ill informed gateline staff at the two stations of those who have bus passes.

One positive with the diverted 75 - Elmers End Road is suitable for deckers. We knew the Birkbeck bridge was fine already - roll on my 432 extension lool.

The 130 to Clifford road is even more baffling as the roadworks are at goat house bridge which the 130 doesn't serve. I can only think that the 130 has been curtailed at Clifford Road to avoid the congestion in the High Street and that the diversion via Crystal Palace was deemed too long winded for the 75 although it could still have gone to Croydon via the 197 and 289 routes. The 157 must be rammed at peak times through Selhurst without the 75 too help out. The only other option would be too convert both routes to single deck, the 75 could swap buses with the 202 and the 157 could swap with the 152/407/T33. They could then go via Sunny Bank, Manor Road and under the low bridge back to the High Street although the Manor Road turn is a bit tight so may have to loop via Doyle Rd and Clifford Rd, not ideal but at least it keeps them on their normal routes.

As the 157 is rammed at peak times with double deckers it will be even worse with single deckers, the same with the 75. One must consider the consequences it will have on the Morden end of the 157 and the Lewisham end of the 75.
