Carrying on from last week on my mission to go on every bus type in London that I haven't been on yet takes me to the E400 City Hybrids. Walk to Wood Green Town Centre (if you can call it that) Ee45 on the 230 (Wood Green to Walthamstow Central) 2542 on the 20 (Walthamstow Central to Debden) Central Line- Debden to Holborn Piccadilly Line- Holborn to Wood Green Walk to home after a short stop at Five Guys.
Overall good bus; liked the scenery on the 20 and it was nice to briefly dip into Essex too. One thing though is that TFL need to sort out the regulation on buses it's a joke. We had to even out the service at Tottenham Hale and Walthamstow Central It's like every time I step on a bus this happens. Anywho, it's the optare metro city's next on either the 312 or the S1. Depends on whether the District Line wants to work on the weekends

My bus + tube journey yesterday.
WVL457 - route 486 home to North Greenwich to start off the afternoon.
North Greenwich - Jubilee Line to London Bridge
London Bridge - Northern Line to Colliers Wood Station
Missed an Me on route 200 as my main purpose was to head down there to try these buses out. E121 then came but then Waited another 4 minutes for Me7.
Me7 - route 200 to Wimbledon - nice bus, prefer these buses to the ADL versions, a lot more spacious rather than being really cramped on an ADL BYD EV.
After that went to do route 493, SE180. Route is alright, the vehicles seem very clapped out however.
Got off at Southfields Station then got the District line to Westminster.
Westminster - changed for Jubilee then got the 486 home.

Managed to catch SP40026 today on the 281. What a lovely smart, clean bus. One of the worst SPs I've come across when it was at AV last year.

Managed to catch SP40026 today on the 281. What a lovely smart, clean bus. One of the worst SPs I've come across when it was at AV last year. Compared to the other garages at RATP, AV is not exactly the best garage when it comes to maintenance and display. You really need to see the H98 allocated SPs for proof. Many of them still do not have the LU stickers on them and they rattle so much with a cooling fan. I hope in 5-6 months time when all the changes around the Hounslow area are complete, AV up their quality.

Managed to catch SP40026 today on the 281. What a lovely smart, clean bus. One of the worst SPs I've come across when it was at AV last year. I travelled on SP40026 almost exactly a month ago, and sat upstairs on the rearmost offside seat. After a short while I was feeling uncomfortably hot, and realised the heat was coming through the seat back while some adjacent panels or mouldings (not sure on the exact arrangement now) were also very hot. Luckily the bus began to empty soon after this and I could move elsewhere. That said I've never been on OmniCitys enough to know whether this is a common issue or not.

It was slow and very rattely when I had it - I've had MMCs which are less rattely than that. Didn't go over bumps that well either.

DLR Gallions Reach to Shadwell............ 378228 OG to West Croydon ....... photographed everything that moved but mainly went to successfully pick up AB 9401 / 04 / 06 / 08 / 21 on the Tram Replacements .......... also managed to get T1 - T11 (again) but in the bright sunshine ................. ENX1 (at last) .......... 4th last SOE(31) to photo on the 455 ............ lots of DOE's on the 154 (always a favourite bus of mine). Then 154 to Morden on WVL365 ............... why is it when I do stuff like go to catch a DOE dominated Route like the 154 it always ends up that the bus I want to get is first in a run of 4 WVL's for example ....... Sod's Law ? Loitered at Morden to pick up penultimate DOE(12) for photographing (just DOE35 to go - wasn't out today) on the 80 and 3rd last SOE(12) to photo was on that weird 715 718 and also rewarded with SE18 on the 80 too. Enjoyed the "new" SE's on the 413 and the SE2xx's on the 163 / 164 ............. LG liveried WVL(337???) on the 118 ............ but lots of variety about today. Then Northern line to Waterloo & Seldom Works Railway back to Richmond .......... rewarded with nice dusk shot of PVL281 on SWR rail replacement at Richmond then a rammed DXE on the H37 back to Isleworth. What a good day !! .............. bit of shut-eye now and then hopefully a 3AM N9 to Trafalgar Square followed by a dash to the hopefully not-yet departed N551 (yes the retimed N9 now arrives at the same time the N551 departs now - Cheers TfL idiots) onwards to Gallions Reach again. Tomorrow PM hope to get the 148 BCE's between Westminster & Waterloo followed by Kingston for some shameless LT photing on the 111.

Following yesterdays' expedition .............. today DLR & Jubilee to Westminster to intercept 3 Camberwell-bound BCE's then Jubilee & Piccadilly to Hounslow instead of Kingston ................. the additional lure of SP's on the 116 & ADE's on the H32 in addition to the 111 LT's being too much to resist, plus some more photo's of the out-going 117 roster always nice. All helped by SP40026 and our dear friend SP40102 on the 281. The back of AV is rammed with LT's as far as I could see - these appear additional as the 111 LT's not used today were ranged around the bus station hardstand. Eventually made it onto a bus - an H37 to Isleworth where I found the my South Street stop had been moved (it would appear permanently) 100 yards down the road by roadworks in the two weeks I've been away - nearly ended up remaining on-board as I hadn't realised the bus was at the stop. More N9 shennanikins in prospect tonight - hopefully it'll be less busy. Tomorrow PM .............. not sure .................. what would be interesting on a BH PM ?? - might see how many ML-DE's that I haven't yet photographed (especially the doomed 08/58 batch) are out on the 187 / 226 / C11 etc and attempt to get them. Judging by today's distribution - 2-3 hours spent ghoulishly hanging round at the Central Middlesex Hospital confluence of the 187 / 226 / 487 would deal with 6-7 of them. Or drop down to East Croydon and do low numbered HV's on the 50 and the 312 EMC's amongst other things

Today's journey ............. started at 3AM with an LT (didn't note it) on N9 Isleworth to the Strand followed by HCT 25xx (again didn't notice) on N551 to Beckton DLR depot. Piccadilly was the usual chaos ............ there is a night-club right on the southwest corner of Piccadilly Circus and the "Gangsta" patrons just dump their vehicles anywhere even on the central divider .......... was causing special chaos to westbound buses ............. the driver of an N9 was just leaning on the horn continuously attempting to get some of these idiots to move ........... Anyway .............. Journey continued some hours later at 13:00 on the 366 from Beckton DLR depot to Barking Station ( a very rattly SCL E200 36286) - surprised there isn't more comment about the poor state of these buses (36280-99) on here. Managed a few photos in front of Barking Station - all services currently being diverted through the Ripple Road EL routes "short-cut" due to building works in the High Street (useful for pictures). Then London OG Class 710 to South Tottenham then ............... approx. an hour was spent on the A10 mainly to photo the worlds' worst buses (apparently) on the 318 .......... picked up the last 3 (EN16 / 17 / 18) I needed to photograph .......... rode EN5 two stops to Seven Sisters Station just to say I've been on it 👍👍 .................... attempted (largely successfully) to photo the DW's on the 349 & WVN's on the 476 (lots of traffic and people getting in the way though) - pretty much ignored the 149 / 76 LT's but got a photo of LT901 (still blinded for the 76) being towed north by one of Sovereign's umpty-nine-geared recovery vehicles. Then more London OG (710259) from South Tottingham to Godspell Oak & (378227) to Willesden Junction then entered bandit country seeking ML DE's (Crikey - Willesden & Harlesden are run-down areas - but with fabulous bus routes) - managed one new ML E200 (DE1629) outside Willesden County Court then nipped onto DE1659 on a 226 - thanks to the poor driver having to argue the toss with some deranged person attempting to travel without paying and informing everyone (including me) that he would "break them in half" - I'm 6'2" and 19 stone dripping wet - wasn't going to happen - an off-duty Met Police officer on bus read him his fortune and off we went (I really don't envy you Drivers having to deal with these nut-cases) ............... arrived at Central Middlesex Hospital finding it very quiet due to the BH and enjoyed an hour photographing the 440 / 260 / 224 / 228 and more importantly the 187 / 227 & 487 ................. picking up pictures of DE1633 / 1644 & 1652 previously un-photgraphed. Then ............. departed on DE1632 on a 226 back to Willesden County Court ................. got an unexpected snap shot of DE1635 (required) on the 206 but sadly was too blurred to be worth saving 😢 - so walked down to WJ Garage - was given permission to enter 20 yards in 👍 so I could photograph DE1171 (required) which I'd noticed earlier on the hardstand and was still in same place. Then back up to the County Court to photo DE1636 (required) on the 187. Walked back to Willesden junction - snapping ADE/H's on the 266/220 ............... London OG 378212 to Richmond and an H37 back to Isleworth .................. another good day 👍😊 .................... 3 x AL EN's and 6 ML DE's newly recorded .......... not many to go now - just DE860 / 996 / 1026 (now back in service) / 1115 / 1133 / 1134 / 1147 / 1158 / 1168 / 1584 / 1585 / 1635 (👿) & 1650 of the older batches ..................... the E6 & 95 need another go & another Uxbridge visit on the right days. Thank goodness for digital camera's ............ despite the gloom was able to capture clear, bright images at low ASA values in conditions that a film camera would never have got anywhere near. Travelled with HCT / SCL / AL / ML & RTP today (didn't do AB or TT route) ........................ Anyway that's enough - you must all be bored by now 🤣 Hmmm ..................... now what to do tomorrow PM - Beckton to Uxbridge or those 160's in Chislehurst ?? There are so many impending changes to record.
