Group members may be interested to know that working timetables / time schedules for many TfL buses routes are now available on the Timetable Graveyard website. The info has been released by TfL via FOI requests. WTT link

Wow, thanks for posting that up - really interesting stuff! I've never seen these schedules before so it will take a bit of figuring out what's what, but a really good insight into how the bus schedules are put together. Excellent spot

I realise this is quite a thread bump (from January) but I read that TfL had planned to publish these on their own site by the summer......
Does anyone know if this is still happening? Summer has most definitely gone now and I can't find them on the TfL site......unless I'm doing something wrong (which is always a possibility).....

The timetable graveyard site now states they will be added by late 2014, so it looks like we will have to wait a little longer

There must be delays with the new website.

Well, I contacted TfL and they sent me the following email:
Thanks for your email of 20 October about the availability of TfL “working” bus timetables or bus operator duty schedules. I have contacted our team who are responsible for additions and updates to the TfL website as you mention that there was a plan to publish this information online. To date, they have no record of any upcoming plan to bus operator duty schedules to our website. I’m sorry to disappoint you in this way
Which is unusual, as it had said (as mentioned) on the Timetable Graveyard that these would be available, first by summer 2014 and then by late 2014, which it still says. May try another way to email TfL, maybe I got through to the people who purely deal with the upkeep of their website.......

I suspect that the sheer scale of the task is probably overwhelming the people trying to get them on line. Think about the size of the network, the number of schedule variants there can be (sometimes up to 6 for a route) and then consider how far back in to history TfL are deciding to go. I'm guessing there will be some element of historical archive given the aim is to reduce the volume of FOI requests. You then have to collate the info, check that it's correct and then determine how you're going to load it and what public interface there will be and then the IT impacts all have to be assessed. I've done a lot of stuff with TfL IM and they're not the fastest of organisations but part of that is the need to ensure there are proper specifications, funding and controlled change to the website and systems. I've seen what happens when it's uncontrolled so I could always see both sides of the argument (wanting the job done quickly vs doing it properly to avoid problems later on). I wouldn't be terribly shocked if we're not still wondering where the facility is come next Spring.
