Is there a document that details the physical restrictions that a route is considered to have?
Details such as max length of bus, max width, max height, places where buses can't pass, transponders and guidance wheels, etc?
I can recall seeing some details somewhere but I think it was for the requirement for what was opperating rather than what the limit was.
Thanks!

Submit a FOI request to TFL to see if they hold the data?

I doubt whether any such document exists, it's really up to operators to check these things out. Things like the length of vehicle can vary between the types of bus used as some have better turning circles than others.

I dunno why a double decker won't go out on the T31, no restrictions

I dunno why a double decker won't go out on the T31, no restrictions The T31 pretty much carries thin air most of the day. Does not even bed double Deckers, a couple of dutys could even be covered by short buses. I've done this route many times and been the only passenger.

Residents objections maybe? Do loadings on the T31 justify double deckers? Quite a few low trees at the Forestdale end that could be a problem too. The T31 is followed by the N64 from Featherbed Lane to New Addington & the T33 runs with the T31 on Featherbed Lane & Court Wood Lane so any issue would be between Bardolph Avenue & the Forestdale terminus.
