Did full route of the 54 and part-route of the 289 today. 289 needs Double Deckers. It's needed DD's for years now, even the old PDL's were regularly packed on the route. It was always great to see a DD on the route. I complained to TfL a good 5 years ago and but got one of those 'automated' replies. Without going into another topic... Whenever I complain to TfL, I state in the communication not to send me a "template" reply and insist on a personalised reply. But I do agree, the 289 needs Double Deckers- not sure why on contract renewal in 2012, it got singles.

When I last tried using the 289 in Purley during the School rush I didn't bother. I got the 405 instead because it was so packed from the second stop. It certainly needs double Deckers and a school journey.

It had one whilst at CN which a DW did and when it moved, the school journey was done by a DLA or T.

Has done before. You can tell if its template or personalised. If they do give a template reply, I then email back saying I want a response from a member if the hierarchy and copy in London Travelwatch. Have found this speeds up response time.

7 and 72 completed today. Saw the VERY pink and shabby crew rest Dart (P275MLE?) at East Acton, and it made the T/V-reg Tridents once at W and HD look very red!

Did the 22 & X68 end to end today - also first time I've rode either route. Additionally, I rode the 265 for the first time today.

1 and 190 completed yesterday (was going to clear 199 and 47- so that I can see how much of TL is 'outdoorsy' (and no I daren't trespass onto the garage itself!) but didn't have time. )

On Bank Holiday Monday I did 18 and 14 ETE. I can see why 18 is the second most used bus after 25, does not have many overlapping routes.

Did the full route of 136 and part-route of 126 today. I also did the full route of the 136 with 'DW498' - I've now done the 136 end to end before & after the extension.

I should add that I've done end to end most of UX's routes before. 331, U1 (To HayesStation), U10, U9, U7, U2, 607. Does the old 459 count on a running day?? Also most that end at Ruislip station and a couple others. H13 (my local route) (including various unofficial/unintended detours such as Joel Street, Wiltshire Lane, Fore Street, Eastcote Road), E7, 114. 282, H11. All over a decade ago though. I see the H13 still rumbles along every twenty mins like it did before 15-20 years ago. Bluntly, it was always treated crap by Sovereign. I'm not suprised it's experienced no weekday improvements for decades. Compare to the 98/A/B which had a combined peak frequency at one point of something silly like every 6-7 mins?!
