I forgot to add the latest list. I've FINALLY done the 246 and my word how have I not known about this bus. My Bromley folk on here I can't believe I've not ventured to that part of the world as much as I would around other areas. I loved the thrash to Westerham.

My Bromley folk on here I can't believe I've not ventured to that part of the world as much as I would around other areas. I loved the thrash to Westerham. Try it again on a summer Sunday down to Chartwell. Like the 465 that I mentioned on the ‘my bus journey today’ thread, it is a pleasing anomaly of a TfL bus route, and also like the 465, long may it remain so.

I think the 4 longest buses I've done end to end is the 25 (Oxford circus days), 83 (Ealing Hospital days), X26 and the 36. The 36 for me was agonisingly painful to sit on end to end. I was more grateful for when it got to Paddington as I knew at that point I didn't have long to go to finish the journey.

I tell you another one that's painful, the 5 especially on a Saturday afternoon. I did a few end to end and must have got to nearly 80 - 90 mins on bad days. Nowhere near as bad but the 69 is another painful route which is painfully slow towards Walthamstow but so much easier heading in the other direction.

I had to do that route every Monday's end to end in the early 2010s with those PVLs. Those days there was no such thing as the tracker website. You had to hope your favourite bus was out on your desired route to make it more bearable.

I am sure everyone has their own ‘rules’ in this regard, and my set take no account of changes, so I did the 212 and 244 when they were RTs and still count them. I only did the 134 from Potters Bar garage to Victoria, but never did the section to Pimlico, and certainly never from Friern Barnet to East Finchley, so that is not e2e for me, just a route ridden. But I did do the A1 e2e when it shuttled from Hounslow West to Heathrow Central.

I think a good route end to end is route 33, yes it can get busy but if you catch this bus early evening around 19:30 it’s quite fast, also another good route is R70, but where is the end part of you catch the bus from Richmond (I used to live in Hampton and used this bus many times)

The 36 is painful for sure or maybe it’s just that I have lost the habit of sitting in a bus for a long time. Also didn’t help that I was doing it just after lunch on the way to meet a friend - couldn’t stay awake and it was warm and cozy! The 102 is another route that can really drag on, did it once end to end, never again.
