I tell you another one that's painful, the 5 especially on a Saturday afternoon. I did a few end to end and must have got to nearly 80 - 90 mins on bad days. Nowhere near as bad but the 69 is another painful route which is painfully slow towards Walthamstow but so much easier heading in the other direction. The 102 is another route that can really drag on, did it once end to end, never again. I did the 266 in the heydays when it used to run Brent Cross - Hammersmith. The opposite of a scenic route, i struggled to stay awake (I shouldn’t have had lunch before boarding this!) had to sit in a coffee shop for 30 min to wake myself up Lesson learnt, did the equally beautiful 260 late at night

I get what you mean about Dagenham Dock but I didn't mind it too much myself

The 36 is painful for sure or maybe it’s just that I have lost the habit of sitting in a bus for a long time. Also didn’t help that I was doing it just after lunch on the way to meet a friend - couldn’t stay awake and it was warm and cozy! I had the same feeling when doing the 86 on a Saturday afternoon. Getting through the slow traffic along Romford Road is nothing fun - and it's rather dull.

Other than that it was eh

A while ago I filmed the 188 end to end, so I'll add that to the list.

As a side note, the Bexley Road/St John's Road/Granville Road Hail & Ride Sections on the B14 (which don't even give you an idea as to where it is) can sometimes feel like the bus equivalent of the labyrinth from Theseus and the Minotaur!
