The updated design of the TfL website is now live. Time to update all your favourites and live departures bus stop codes.
Looks like all the bits are not fully functional yet and that it's wobbling if you ask it to do certain things. The Oyster card account section is not updated yet - takes you to the old format for that.

It's very rare I use TfL's site except for being nosy with the consultations and peeking at the maps. TBH, I found the old site to not be that great & I'd doubt I'd use the new one that much either.

Countdown was still working for me earlier (the mobile version at least).
There'll most likely be some teething troubles while everything transitions to the new site.

TfL have said that they will restore Bus Spider Maps on the updated website in the next couple of days. I have left a comment on their digital blog asking that they also restore the quadrant and Central London bus maps too. If you want the old website then Diamond Geezer has found it at link. Time to go and download everything that is missing on the new site! EDIT - the Head of Online has said on the blog that the Quadrant / Central London Maps will return too.

Using the new "nearby" function on the website I've spotted something slightly odd. You are given the bus stops nearest to your location and can then drop down a much bigger list of stops. As I have a hail and ride route near me the stop list also shows the "pseudo stops" [1] that TfL programme into I-Bus on hail and ride sections. These are shown on the map as well but clicking on them doesn't bring up any departure info.
The same applies on route 226 between Ealing and Hanger Lane but there the "pseudo stops" are named for the Hail and Ride sections which I assume triggers messages on the buses. The two examples illustrate the different data practices used for Hail and Ride sections.
[1] there is an official name for them but I forget what it is.

Has anyone found the Bus Service Changes that used to be in the future works section?

Has anyone found the Bus Service Changes that used to be in the future works section? No - I think TfL have killed it. Even going back to the old website and finding it shows it has not been updated to beyond 29 March 2014. I guess if we want to know when bus services will change we will need to sit cross legged on the floor, go "om om om om" and pass into a transcendental trance and hope that the "Spirits of TfL" will share their thoughts with us. For those with long memories Another load of utter, unthinking nonsense from this website "improvement". When you consider it is "Year of the Bus" one might imagine that TfL would be making that information MORE accessible not LESS? EDIT - I have asked on the TfL Digital Blog for the service changes doc to be reinstated.

some r ok and some r rubbish. I know it early stage. Im sorry to say that I don't like the new website and it not friendly website at all.
You keep click and say oh more click?
Some Status map not working at the moment.
I think TfL need to be more careful before go ahead with this new website. However I trying to do feedback and guess what? Not working at all! You keep click on 'feedback' after you done tick and comment in the box. Come on TfL teams!
