Hi All, I am new to this forum and I would like to ask for your collective help. For the purpose of academic research, I would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to read and complete the following questionnaire on Advanced Stop Lines (ASLs): docs.google.com/forms/d/1RQolvV5wUGm11g1jVOACX5BHXWN0xA_-1K2Fd2fC9eM/viewform?usp=send_formI am trying to obtain the opinions of different road users, and I have shared this post on trucking and bike forums. Your input as bus drivers would be much appreciated. The questionnaire will accept responses until the end of May (2014). Thanks in advance.. Smile ASLResearcher

Job done; interesting survey although I do still wonder at the effectiveness of allowing the slowest road users to make their way to the front of traffic queues at lights because it just makes things difficult when the lights do change. Not for me obviously - particularly when driving a bus I rarely overtake cyclists since I'm likely to be stopping soon anyway and they will only go by me again. The only time I get a little annoyed by cyclists is driving around the loop on the R5/R10 - it's so twisty that it just isn't safe to overtake cyclists except for the very few straight bits. It would be nice if cyclists stopped to allow me by (it happened once and I was so surprised it took me a few seconds to register that he had stopped and was letting me go!
