I'm beginning to think that people only think the bus network should link hospitals together. A petition of 236 people is never going to change TfL's mind. EDIT - given the campaigners want a link between West Middx and Ashford Hospitals the only viable option is route 203. Looking at the timings it would need 1 extra bus on the 203 to extend to West Middx although as said below stand space would probably be an issue. The unviable option would be to extend the 481 on from West Middx to Hounslow West which would give a partial link but at a low frequency. It would need 1 extra bus but would mean huge stand time being taken or a need to interwork with another service.

They've got a good case but if a new link is provided presumably it would mean the 110 or 117 being removed, from memory I don't think there is that much stand space at the hospital apart from funding issues.

Surely there is a business case for extending the 203 there , and a frequency increase at same times huge increase in patronage on that route.

Exactly there isn't much stand space at all at West Mid. Both existing routes are both key to the areas they serve so i think it will be a tough one to decide.

I know there's a thread for it but I'll write it here anyway:
Route H29
Heathrow Central Cranford Hounslow West Station Hounslow Bus Station Bridge Road Worton Road Twickenham Road for West Middlesex Hospital London Road Brentford County Court Windmill Road Northfields Uxbridge Road Ealing Broadway
Every 15 mins with DD or 12 mins with 10.8m SD
Would not only create bus links between Hounslow West and West Middx Hospital, but also bus links between Hounslow West and Heathrow Central during the day but also with Heathrow and Ealing as well as Hounslow and Ealing

Just number it 374, that's free... No need for a Hounslow prefixed route that would spend most of its route outside Hounslow anyway And give it to TGM pls with new StreetDecks Seemed to have picked quite notorious traffic blackspots as well, It looks like some of the H98 route, 110, 267 and E2 melded together, will need quite a hefty PVR

The other issue is that with it serving Heathrow it automatically comes with ultra early starts so it's never going to be cheap to run even if there was some money for a new route like this.

Lowest unused H number in the Hounslow 'block'. I did consider numbering it 483 (after 482)

Could have route 218 Mk II. West Middlesex-Heathrow T3
via Twickenham Road, St Johns Road, London Road (For Isleworth Station), Spring Grove Road, Thornbury Road, Jersey Road, Kingsley Road, Hounslow East Station, Hounslow Bus Depot, Staines road, Wellington Road North, Bath Road, Hounslow West Station, Vicerage Farm Road, Cranford Lane, High Street, The Avenue, Bath Road, Heathrow Central Bus Station, Heathrow Terminal 3.
This route not only liknks the hospital with the station, but links estates with the airport, providing easier access and improving buisness in, and around the airport. Operated with 9.3m Enviro 200s. Every 15-20 min frequency

Extend the 116 there, (its a higher frequency, shorter route, runs to Ashford Hospital) Cut the 110 and 117 back to the "bus station"
