LBC and Nick Ferrari are making enquiries into the reports of excessive heat on NB4L. The issue was raised on the 'ask Boris' section of the 'Nick Ferrari Breakfast Show' and Boris tries to deny a problem, TFL wont give an answer and finally Boris admists that there are 'small' problems. Nick Ferrari is again pushing this matter this morning and I will post a link to his Podcast after his show today. This is the 'Ask Boris' programme from 05-08-2014: - www.lbc.co.uk/ask-boris-5th-august---watch-in-full-94937and a link to the Podcast section for today's show - most of the NB4L material is in the last hour or so: - lbc.audioagain.com/presenters/7-nick-ferrari/101-nick-ferrari-the-whole-show

Leon Daniels wrote to the Standard about NB4L heat. the letter is shown as an image on this tweet. It is almost word for word the same as something Mike Weston was quoted as saying in response to heat problems on the NB4L. I rather expect reality is somewhere between every bus boils you to death and every bus is working wonderfully (a la TfL).

Instead of having Blobby Boris on the show talking about the NRM's problems, why not LBC invite hard working TFL folks into the show that will explain the real problems of the New Routemaster bus.
It's not just London listening to LBC, it's the whole of Britain listening to it as well.

BBC London 94.9 FM are good for having TfL staff on their shows.

They are also not the Mayor of London. Even if they did appear they would have to toe the "official line" which has to be agreed with City Hall anyway. Therefore it would be a pointless exercise. Anyway bye bye Boris as Mayor come 2016. (oopps, got a bit excited there)

I've not listened to LBC recently but it is apparently nationwide now so I really cannot imagine these London issues being of much interest to folk in the rest of the country.

In fact last time must have been after the heritage running day as this was mentioned and Peter Hendy has agreed to bring an RT next time as (presumably RTW467 - or maybe RM1005) and let Ferrari conduct!

How come Nick had the old style conductor's ticket machine instead of the one with the Oyster reader?
