Nothing on paper yet but rough outline seems to be 3 extra buses, 6 extra drivers, none school and school rotas combined with the school routes being offloaded to part time drivers. No set date yet but I'm assuming it'll be when our rotas change back for kids returning to school.
On another note it seems we got a major fine for having buses out on the route that were unbranded. The outcome being that it's actually better to have NO BUS than an unbranded one. So expect gaps in service should anymore drivers crash a bus or breakdown.

Do you know where these three extra buses will come from? I'm guessing that they'll be Gemini 2s cascaded from other garages with a repaint.

3 extra buses would take the PVR to 18 meaning a possible x10 headway on each route given a combined service Ilford - Thames View of a bus every 5 mins. That would add 2 extra buses an hour which are probably needed at peak times. All that assumes no changes to running times. EDIT - change confirmed for 30 August in latest TfL service changes list. Quite a few enhancements at the end of the month but mostly to cope with school loadings.

I'm pretty sure that London Central have a few spare WVLs about. Most likely Q or NX.
Wait, I'm just thinking. I've seem an unbranded WVL on the EL2 before (about 2 or 3 years ago). Surely the company got fined back then too?

Probably wasn't out long enough to be noticed or they had permission due to the bus being long term off road. We did have a major smash and a driver run over a mattress burnt out the rear end. Happened to DLA308 in North London - sadly, it was deemed unrepairable and it was left to rot for 6 years in the Brixton Hill Tramshed until one day, it disappeared.

He was a new driver only out the training school a few weeks. He run it over and it got caught under the rear axle it eventually come lose but I believe ripped the lines to the brakes. The drums started heating up and eventually went on fire. The worst thing was he said he didn't know it happened when they had him on camera get out and look underneath. If he'd just told the truth he woulda got the new driver treatment. A harsh slap on the wrist I think the bus was 343 and we had 434 as a replacement. It's never been right since always throwing up electrical problems. Probably wasn't out long enough to be noticed or they had permission due to the bus being long term off road. Talking of WVL343, I've not seen it since July but Since December it seems to have a card that says "679" stuck down the side blinds

Ah thought I'd edited that in but I forgot. Yes they sacked him for lying. He was told had he told the truth it woulda been final written and extended probation. Rotas have started filtering through and there's still a school rota so those jobs haven't been offloaded to spare drivers. What is annoying though is because its a mon-sat increase we have too many drivers come Sunday so we've got split rest days. Sun,thur then sun,fri how irritating. Apparently it's also in the contract that the buses have to be volvos so I believe its 3 new buses coming from docklands as they have some e400's coming.

No new tenders?
