But the 453's LT conversion is in October, Isn't the increase at the end of this month? What will they use in the meantime?

I'm surprised that a few E400s from 453 are not going to BX instead to release a few WVLs from there to SI.

I have received confirmation from Crossrail - there is no date for the route ending. Unless the route goes up for tender after 1 year September 14?

I think what GAL should have chosen to do is move some ex-453 Es to NX, then move a few 59 reg from there to BE, or wherever the EL1/2 is operated. Then the rest of the Es could be used for contracts (a few people on here have suggested a couple of Sutton routes, and the 353).

What I would like to see happening not that it will and I'm guessing I will be shot down for this post
Rough idea
453 has 39 buses BE has 26 (2 Are allocated to SI) knackered Scania's that could do with replacing so that's 13 buses left which could be shared between the 129 and 353
Send the Scania's to SI displacing WVL's which could be used on the ELT and 1 ?

I wouldn't mind if the WVLs went to route 1 actually, they would suit the route more than Enviro400s. But isn't it likely that if GAL retain 498 and co, they would use the existing buses instead?

Why ever not? Anyway who would your preferred operator be for the 498? Stagecoach or another company?

Only the 213 would require new buses out of the Sutton routes - if the 93, 151 & 154 were retained, it would be with existing DOE's. I don't think sending the E's to the 353 straight away is the best use of them. Besides, it's contract isn't up till next year.

The term rose tinted glasses spring to mind here. Where exactly are first London now ? Sometimes I really have to bite my tongue on here... Why ever not?
