I would agree so the 1/68/91 is more than enough (why is the SL6, malarky). It woukd have just been more better with the 1/59/91 but each to their own. Im sure TFL have their reasonings. If this were not TfL land what would be ideal is a handful of peak only journeys on the 188 continuing to Euston. Which would probably work if the 188 still terminated at Russell Square but as it doesn’t it would be a bit weird to facilitate.

Adds capacity at the specific times needed is 1, then it serves a huge new terminal for people coming from the South up to trainlines to North West London, Midlands, connections to the Northern/Victoria Line. Euston has become a huge workforce area with the new offices being built and HS2 in itself. Russel Square just seems an unecesssry aim to free stand space. Also to point out, the 59 stand at Euston is vacant and has not been replaced. The only issue I see here is that it is a duplication of the 68. I’d probably have it run non stop between Euston and Aldwych, only calling at Southampton Row towards Croydon and Russel Square Station towards Euston. Then again, its all fantasy.

Minor Extension: Bus Route 32 extended to Maida Hill, The Chippenham to give a direct connection between the south of Kilburn Park Road to north part of Kilburn such as Kilburn Station.

This is fantasy merely because I am not familiar with some of the areas this route would serve but I would propose a new Superloop from Central to West London, possibly called the SL18 between Wembley Park and Euston.
Wembley Park - (standing at Wembley Park Drive) and turning back to Fulton Road- just short of Wembley Park Station. (New stand made on one of the lanes). Stops: Euston Station, Baker Street Station, Marylebone Station, Paddington Station(?) Shepherd’s Bush Green(?), Savoy Circus, Park Royal Station, Hanger Lane Station, Ealing Road and all stops to Wembley Park via route 483. Key routings: via Euston Underpass and non-stopping on Marylebone Road, then stop at Baker Street. The stop at Marylebone Station would be shared with route 2 at the Taxi Rank rather than Marylebone Road, people can change at Baker Street if they want to interchange for other bus routes. Then calling at Paddington Station and Paddington / Eastbourne Terrace via Sussex Gardens and Praed Street, and then turn right to Bishops Bridge Road to join the Westway, slight detour on the West Cross Route to Shepherd’s Bush Green to call here and at Westfield, and possibly Ariel Way, before going via Wood Lane back to Western Avenue to call at East Acton / Savoy Circus, direct to Hanger Lane gyratory calling at Park Royal and then non stop via Alperton and up to Ealing Road then serving stops up to Wembley Park Drive via the 483.
(?) - Paddington - this routing would be slightly longer and while it is a mainline station, Im not sure if it would need to be served primarily: to speed up journeys, it could run much quicker via Marylebone Flyover to Westway
(?) - Shepherd’s Bush Green - same issue, it could just continue via Westway and probably save 20 or so minutes not doing the West Cross Route detour however I imagine Bush as a major interchange terminal as well as Westfield so thought it might be worth the reroute.
What are your thoughts?
If anyone has any suggestions west of Hanger Lane instead of Wembley.

I won’t lie I do find it impressive that the 465 makes it to Dorking all the way from Kingston. I think tfl tried to cut the route to Leatherhead but residents in Mickleham managed to convince Surrey Council to oppose TfL’s suggestion & keep the 465 as it is.

I imagine it was more that Surrey, unlike some of the other Home Counties, saw the value in stumping up the cash for the non London section as they also did with the 166 Epsom Hospital journeys

I think route 77 between Vauxhall and Waterloo should be replaced by an extension of route 452.
This would bring some useful new links, and reduce duplication between route 77 and SWR between Clapham Junction and Waterloo.
In the longer term, route 77 could be withdrawn, replaced between Tooting and Clapham Junction by an extension of route 49, and between Clapham Junction and Vauxhall by an extension of route 295.
EDIT : As route 452 already links Vauxhall with Ladbroke Grove, I now suggest route C3 for extension to Vauxhall to replace that section of route 77.

Will someone PLEASE make the western end of the 53 actually logical? Maybe make it terminate at either Elephant and Castle or at Waterloo (maybe at the 77 stand that's soon going to lay dormant). The current Lower Marsh terminus feels rather arbitrary and means that there's a rather unpleasant walk if you want to go to Waterloo or the South Bank.

This has been discussed numerous times before, I think the current route 77 stand would be ideal but apparently that is being removed as part of redevelopment work. I think the only argument against Elephant & Castle, which probably will happen eventually, is the current Lower Marsh stop offers same stop interchange with four routes that cross Westminster Bridge.

The Lower Marsh terminus, whilst not fully ideal, allows those needing St Thomas Hospital, which has a large catchment area nowadays from the south east, a nearer walk than either Waterloo or Elephant offers. Cutting it to Elephant is a pretty poor suggestion IMO - an extension to Lambeth Palace would give a better link to the hospital and it could even go via Waterloo if necessary given both sets of links
