I’m a Celeb returns to our screens next week. It will be a bit different this year of course but will be great to watch as ever. Should be interesting to see how Sir Mo Farah gets on!

I think this year's has been one of the best TBH - in fact, I liked the change of scenery and think it could add a little bit if the location was different next year rather than simply returning to Australia again.

Looks like the Queen of the Castle is Giovanna this year Indeed, and well deserved too, although personally my money was on Vernon to win. Congratulations Giovanna! This series has been nothing short of fantastic, however I have to say it did feel rushed at times. Can't believe how quick it's passed like I say every year! Like last year, this series was hard to predict as there were so many well known personality but I certainly didn't expect Jordan and Giovanna to be the final two. It's also amazing to see how Jordan developed during the series, from puking at the top of a cliff to making it to the very end. It's a shame Extra Camp was axed back in January (before COVID took hold) but even if it wasn't axed, COVID would have put pay to that this year. I agree, Gwrych Castle has been a great setting for the show. The issue with the castle hosting I'm a Celebrity however is the cold weather, and that is the reason why the series ended two days earlier than it usually would do (or so I've read at least). It does open the door to potentially having two series per year however, with Gwrych Castle hosting it in the spring/summer and Australia during the usual three weeks in mid-November.

I might be in the minority, but I'm not sure if Gi was the right winner this series. My hope was for Vernon or Shane to win, although both might have scuppered their chances about what they said about Jess when she only brought back one star. I never was a fan of Extra Camp either, I think these random spin offs have had their day now due to the amount of information that is available online.

Shane was my pick to win but I agree his sniping probably cost him. I have to admit I've never been keen on Vernon for various reasons particularly for his well publicised affair with a page 3 model and the fact I didn't rate him hosting Family Fortunes, a show I loved watching when growing up. Now I missed the Bob Monkhouse days but had watched him on other stuff particularly Wipeout (the game show, not the athletic one) but Les Dennis was my favourite host and really when he left, they should of left the show alone instead of bringing it back and with celebrities. Anyway, that all said, I've warmed to him a lot during these last few weeks and actually think this is the funniest I've ever seen him. I don't think they should do two series a year - it's alright for something like Mock the Week or Have I Got News For You but personally, not for something along the lines of I'm a Celeb. Keep it as it is but rotate where they go and maybe move the date forward a bit to combat the cold weather.

I really enjoyed the latest series. The castle looked amazing but it rather feel like they were running out of budget towards the end! Really glad they kept the Celebrity Cyclone in though - one of the best parts for me!
I wanted Vernon to win but Gi has that massive fanbase so was always likely to do well
I read somewhere that there are refurbishment plans for the castle but if they could host further series there then I’d welcome that. I don’t think two series a year would work but maybe use the castle every three or four years for a little variety

I’m a Celeb returns to our screens tonight. Should be an interesting series, shame it couldn’t be in the jungle again this year!

Not really bothered watching I'm a Celeb in recent years purely because the cast is always very samey. I think the show has been very careful with who they've picked since the series with Lady C. I won't also be watching because of how irritating Richard Madeley is, cannot stand him.
In regards to entertainment, the last series I watched was the Lady C one because IMO she is the best person to have ever gone on I'm a Celeb because she was so frustrating to other people, she riled people up, brought out other sides to them and overall made her probably the best campmate the show has seen. Do I reckon we'll see a character like her again? Probably not.

Edit seems to be bugging so will add on here, but when producers pick out castmates,in recent years they really have stooped to lows in terms of what they consider to be celebrities which make the series boring & like had been demonstrated with the rumoured campmates of this season & also series of shows before like CBB (esp the seasons before it's downfall) people were on there that sure might have been on reality TV but are they really celebrities?
At least for me, part of what makes me want to tune into a TV show like I'm a Celeb or CBB is people being on there that I recognise.

I have to say that I wasn't particularly impressed with this year's lineup, not many people I knew were in there, but they'll grow on us as the show goes on.

There has been some excellent series since the one involving Lady C - thought the Harry Redknapp one was brilliant with him & Noel Edmonds and last years one was very good too. This years one has been mundane so far apart from Ginola, Naughty Boy & Danny from Emmerdale but it's only one show in so who knows.
