Route 254 would be gaining 4 buses more to its pvr from 14/2/14. This is to give more running time and also because of roadworks at Aldgate to convert the road into 2 way traffic.
So new pvr would be 34/30/21 (M-F/Sat/Sun)

Hmm...DLAs from the 125 could be used maybe. Or even DWs from BN.

Hmm...DLAs from the 125 could be used maybe. Or even DWs from BN. I really doubt it about DLA's. If anything it would more than likely be the DW's from [BN], if they are not used then a swap between those and some at [E] could send down some VLW's to [AE]. DW57,58,59 are at [AE] although it would be better to send them to [E] for a swap of some VLW's; which imo is better for fleet standardisation.

When the 254's PVR comes down again then they can just withdraw the spare VLWs from AE completely. Although I wouldn't be surprised if 2nd gen DWs from somewhere are used instead of what you suggested.

I was surprised that they didn't take the DW's from the 38 before they where transferred to Croydon and Brixton.

I think DW57 is already at AE, so that will make sense if a few more go over to the 254

It wont be going back down, it is a permanent pvr change, also agreed with London Buses, as running times are tight for much of the peaks, weekends even worse. Part of the deal of the 2 years extension is the pvr enhancement.

The DW's 57-66 would now be used on the 254, DW63 has been in use over past 2 days.
