A bit out of our normal area but which may be of interest, Scania is currently trialling a Citywide based LF Double Decker in Berlin. Interestingly it is very much a London style layout with two axles, two doors and a single staircase, it's also 4.06 metres tall to comply with the Berlin DD bus height allowance. More details here: www.modellbus.info/aktuel-1.htm (scroll down until you see the big yellow thing). From the text it would seem that VDL may also get in on the act with an experimental DD later in the year. Moz

Moz Scroll towards the bottom and there's a six wheeled LHD BorisBus, and Skopje has bought a fleet of the Chinese Routemasters!

Moz I really wish the Scania Citywide comes to these shores - it's looks like a spruced up Omnicity DD.

That looks like a very compact design when set alongside the typical massive dimensions of Berlin double deckers. It would be good to see Scania back in the UK double deck market but whether the Citywide can be made in RHD form was not stated in the (translated) article.
