The Enviro 200 MMC for me. I like the Streetlite alot, the only thing is the wheels look somewhat small making it look disproportionally tall, or is it the other way around. I anticipate the LWB E200 MMC will look perfect!.

I can't decide for a couple reasons
1) I haven't been on the E200 MMC yet l, so I can't make a comment, but from what I've seen it looks better (apart from the lower front end and the rear window) and it looks bigger inside.
2) the DF StreetLite looks better than the E200 MMC but the WF model looks hideous at the front, even the Solo looks better than it.
3) There are no StreetLites in my local area (Abellio only order ADL products and most LU routes are either DD or use E200s or Darts)
I do prefer the sound of the StreetLite, and the build of Wrights is better than ADL so that's why it gets my vote.

I think it is because of the jagged sloping up rear window line whereas other manufacturers tend to have straight line of glazing making the proportion of bodywork to glazing smaller. Of course they could really be using smaller wheels, but as a Enviro 200 competitor I would have thought the wheel size would be the same. Perhaps someone could confirm?

I do like the streetlite, it is better built than the current E200 (do not yet know about the MMC E200) but its just predominantly on voith and I am not wholly a fan of the central lighting system, I prefer a parallel lighting system. Aside from that I think the E200 MMC looks better and has better gearbox choices imo and at Euro 6 both the ZF AS tronic and Allison versions of the current E200 sound great.

I think the appearance of the StreetLite isn't too bad, however I agree that the side windows at the rear are too small and the rear window is too high (this is also the case with the Enviro200 MMC). I'd say the Enviro200 MMC's design is too fussy for a midibus. Long wheelbase single door versions might look better though. I also don't particularly like how the headlights and lower front panels don't match the Enviro400 MMC.
I haven't travelled on a TfL specification StreetLite, the only ones I've been on are Arriva's on route 321, but they seem to be decent buses. They don't rattle too much, and the interior seems spacious enough, although the MMC's ceiling panels do make it look bigger inside.
So overall I prefer the StreetLite. I also prefer the appearance of the Optare MetroCity to the Enviro200 MMC.

I agree, I've just noticed your previous post about the Streetlite and we share similar opinions about its styling. I think it's a combination of factors including the side windows that slope up near the rear, the glazing above the side windows which extend up towards the roofline, and the slightly lower height of the side windows which all contribute to making the wheel size appear small, when they're probably standard size.

Hi guys, I've locked the poll, and I will create a new one when I feel that more of you are likely to have ridden on them. Thanks to all who voted. The MMC is the winner.
