The seating looked way better and was better, with the bench style seating, than it is now IMO.

NS was still running these beasts in daily service when I moved to Romford. The 294, 247 , 174, occasionally the 374 and the 496 when that first appeared were running these types. Romford had an interesting mix of Titans and VN class Volvo Olympians at the time.
I'd agree that the seating looked better. In fact I'm trying to find out who manufactured it so I can use it on a little project I have in mind!
Something I'd still like to do is get a drive of one. I drove a Leyland Olympian at Chelmsford but it wasn't even close!

I do indeed remember Titans, especially being part of a trio of buses that are my favourite (the others being Gardener Leyland Olympians & MCW Metrobus). I rode Titans on the 35, 37, 45, 196 & P3 although other routes where Titans ran or popped on occasionally in my area was the 3, 345 & 689.
If I could, I'd bring the 1980's LT interior back as a blanket interior for all London buses, it would brighten up a dreary day easily. There's not one thing I'd change about them at all.
