Out of interest, are the only wooden escalators on the whole network still in service at Greenford? Not 100% sure - this image would suggest not but you can't see the surface of the escalator steps. The body of the steps look metallic though. EDIT - checking some more, the wooden escalator went a couple of years ago. The inclined lift is where it used to be!

Dam it I missed the opening of the new incline lift! And I use this station all the time too. This morning, I went though this station and it was still closed off to the public. And when I went though this afternoon I was shocked to see that it opened to the public. It was sad to see the old wooden Escalator go but at the same time it's great to see this new lift finally in action.
