Oh dear, thank goodness this happened before Abelio took delivery of these and replaced a load of Darts.

I do wonder what will happen to the 499s buses now. Another temporary round of Trident musical chairs no doubt to create enough spare E200s to cover the 499 while mods take place.

Vehicle re-calls happen all the time nothing unusual remember the Omnicity re-call that took ages to do with loan buses all over the place.
At least this time only a relatively small amount of buses have been delivered no doubt it will be sorted very quickly.

The notice makes clear it's 63 vehicles built in a short period up to late August. I expect ADL will have modified the design immediately upon discovery of the issue. I'd expect the LG buses to be built later than late August but happy to be corrected if someone else has more info.

I imagine the issue would be rectified before delivery even if they were built within the affected period

Faults are not always found during the testing stages - Titans had a few faults even after production started which needed rectifying so as you say, nothing uncommon or to worry about.

Meh, not really that serious, just slam the handbrake on and it'll stop. Now try doing that on an RML with leaky seals and a full standing load!
