Is it about time TFL create an advertisement that there are no open windows on Boris Buses? Some people might then decide to shut up about the topic!

People are perfectly entitled NOT to shut up about it until the problem is hopefully fixed. At least someone has been determined enough to do some journalism and digging into what was going in behind the scenes. TfL might not like it but tough. Boris can only be pleased he's got 5 days left in office and then he's no longer directly in the firing line.

Maybe we should have "Roastmaster" vinyls attached to the side of the buses with a flame around it. near the front wheelarch in a similar way LT did in the 80's with the Routemaster.

Its partly because of didn't have time to read it, but releasing inside information can be interesting to people sometimes.

But you said TfL should release an advert saying that the buses have no opening windows? That's what I was querying in your earlier post. People who use the things *know* they don't! And given TfL are splashing a few million quid of taxpayers money to fix a fault, that their own design spec and later reluctance to change it has caused and perpetuated, if they were to say anything they should be saying that buses *with* opening windows are now appearing. Furthermore Wrightbus should stop building new ones without opening windows. All new deliveries should surely have the opening windows as standard? What is the point of converting routes 91, 189 and 211 when the weather is possibly getting warmer without ensuring the buses have opening windows? It's daft because all you will get is a whole load of new people complaining about the new buses being too hot. In the context of wishing to remain in a job at TfL when a new Mayor starts is it not a trifle stupid to have new buses delivered which are almost certain to generate complaints? I'd have had words with Wrightbus and got that sorted out at least two delivery bathches ago. It would have at least drawn a line in the sand and reduced / stopped the potential for complaints about heat and air circulation as further routes convert. It all seems pretty straightforward to me given the window design now exists and it will avoid the need for these buses to be retrofitted later which would surely save money in the long run.

I was having a joke, but now I am very confused (and I don't know whether it is you or me, and what part!)

You can happily ignore my replies and no need for confusion on your part.

There was a campaign ran by Leon... a couple of summers ago Lets hope it's more than just that one bus at London United that will get a Windows Upgrade this year
