I was just checking the consultation site and saw this I guess 647 will be withdrawn? Not forgetting the amount of bias changes.

The other interesting point is the consultation closing 6/7/16 and the change being implemented 20/7/16 (and yes I know that's referring to the end of the school Summer term). All looks a "done deal" regardless of what submissions they receive.

Needless to say it's funding is to be used elsewhere rather than just a cut

Interesting to note how many people were worried about the effect it would have on the 174. Alot of the drivers at RM were thinking similar but also said how the 647 drivers would try and hold back until a 174 had gone through anyway. Tbh we had all resigned ourselves to the route being cut anyway!!

And I see on Londonbusroutes.net that the 174 is getting a new timetable with an extra school time bus in the directons that the 647 ran in. I wonder what the point was given the same level of resource is now being used but probably more fuel being consumed if the bus runs the full length of the 174? What a waste of time and effort.

The 174 needs it. It's gained an extra duty with a reformatted rota. Some jobs lengthened and others shortened. Basically, it's not just a school bus from what I know. New rota comes in from the 17th and I'm down to do a couple of duties on there next week so can give my own opinion of it soon
