ST812 just passed us at Mildmay Park (towards Dalston). Anyone have an idea where it's headed to? Hopefully towards the Walthamstow Reservoirs where it can be ditched for good...

I think that buses should have bells that only ring once and that's it after each stop because especially during peak times or school periods people ring the bell for fun and it's so frustrating, I'm pretty sure the is a bus that does this but I can't figure it's name, yes people may got annoyed and shout at the driver but over time the drivers will be used to plus every stop is a traditional stop and not a request no more meaning they have to stop at each one unless if no one is there. People would have no reason to get annoyed at the driver, it clearly states on the iBus screen whether the bus is stopping or not and if people shout at the driver then this shows their pure ignorance. I do agree that buses should revert back to single bell ring.

It seems the passengers onboard the 25 I'm using don't understand the concept of ringing the bell once... It's always been a problem on the 25, I've noticed. Legend has it the more times you ring a bell the more likely the bus is to stop The good thing is Gemini 2 bells are quite easy to "zone out". I don't want to know how the situation on an Evoseti will be. It's funny you mentioned this, the bells on the Gemini 2 tend to ring more than once repetetively. What could be the cause of this? As it's a common occurence on the Gemini 2 more than other bus types I'm guessing the bells are overly sensitive, or at least the GAL examples.

As much as I dislike those TEs, I won't be complaining if they are due for the 316 conversion...or any DD type for that matter Route 316 does indeed need double-deckers. Even my DEL ride on it last October was a bit cramped. 'A bit' is a massive understatement!

Indeed - an interesting length for a trial on the 108. That's my guess as to where it'll go. Interesting indeed, this means it would be the longest standard size SD in London, only slightly longer than the Super Darts. I would still question its capacity on routes like the 108, full size SDs would be more practical than any LWB SD.

Love it - "Is that thunder?" - "No it's the SEL coming down the road." Oh and for the love of God, don't ever go near the DOEs . Every time I ride one, I get a headache! Lol they're not that bad, they're great but for me it's the SEL>DOE anyday, despite their back-breaking ride. That 'thunder' sound SELs (or Olympi ) emit, can't say it's particularly pleasing to hear but it's part of their charm.

Thank goodness Boris did the right thing and left the contest race for PM, a massive sigh of relief. Yeah, but Michael Gove lied about wanting to be PM and announced his candidacy It much rather Johnson be PM than Gove -_- I'd much rather Gove than someone who messed up London so much with ridiculous ideas that had no benefit whatsoever and a moron who does not remotely befit the role of a leader.

Well my number one ambition following this whole nonsense would be to stick Boris into one of his pieces of s*** he crapped out for London on a hot and humid day and let him suffer the consequences, right now his name sickens me to the stomach. PM...really?!

I voted to remain. Anyway, much to everyone's disappointment negativity will get us no where, there is no room for pessimism and the best thing to do is be optimistic right now. We just need to accept it and move on, we have a lot at stake and we should hope and work for a brighter future for Britain now that we're out of the EU.

What really made my day was the LU announcements about the delays across the network, most lines were pretty much badly affected and then they say "A good service on the rest of the lines"...they may as well have just mentioned the few lines that were actually running and rest their lungs, what a joke. Anyway I guess it's safe to say that public transport today was chaotic and in utter meltdown.

Apart from being a bus and plane geek, I also love those thunderstorms. Doubt it is good for anyone trying to do a nightbus end to end What do you think about thunderstorms? Absolutely love thunderstorms and don't mind rain & snow either. Really dislike humid weather such as earlier on yesterday - give me a cold winters day with sunshine anytime. Hot or cold, give me the sunshine and a clear day/night and I'm a happy fella

My top three are the Airbus A340-600, Boeing 747-8 and Boeing 777-300ER. My favourite aircraft is the Airbus A340-600, got on one with Virgin to LA and it was an unforgettable experience. Such a quiet and refined ride, not to be underestimated by its 4 powerful RR engines and a graceful looking beast with its super long cabin. Unfortunately, VS are withdrawing them all by 2017/2019 (Same time as the last of the first gen DW's), but these are replaced with 787/9's The Airbus A350-1000 is replacing the A340-600, I believe they will have 2 engines rather than 4 which is a shame as 4 engines really give the ultra long body a nice look.

Let me clarify this for the last time. The VWHs at AC were not diverted from the 245 and 460. They were ordered against their contracts with no intention of putting them on the two routes. A diversiond is not the same as ordering vehicles against a contract. An example of a diversion is DW190 and 191 being diverted from the 38 to the 640 back in 2009. The 483 was specified 5 Hybrids which will be diverted to the 182 at some point. I might sound a bit daft, but when you say ordered 'against' their contracts what exactly do you mean by that? Either vehicles are ordered for contract renewals or not, otherwise they're cascaded temporarily, unless I'm missing something.

It was a perfect day for Planespotting, something I haven't done for ages, planning to very soon. May I ask, what is your favourite aircraft and livery? Favourite aircraft is the A380. Not so sure about livery but for sure my favourite airline is Emirates. My top three are the Airbus A340-600, Boeing 747-8 and Boeing 777-300ER.
