There are a lot of routes which fit this discussion, even if they are slighty new No Changes 24, 59, 87/N87, 202, 129, 314, 321, 327, 363, 417, 453, 472, 473, 476, 483, 484, B16, R5 1 Change 136, 284, 333, 468, B12, P4 Of course, the current 59 & 333 have only been around since 1999 & 2003 respectively and the 59 has one change - the extension from Euston to Kings Cross lol.

Since its introduction, the 292 has always terminated at Borehamwood, Rossington Avenue & Colindale (though not at the ASDA terminus until 1993) but didn't serve Edgware and run via a different route until the 90's. It had short lived extensions to Willesden & Grahame Park but otherwise has largely terminated in the same areas.

Route 266 has been Hammersmith - Cricklewood Garage long-term and extended to Brent Cross in 1976.

The S4 has seen no changes since its conception in 1997, running from the Roundshaw estate to St. Helier Station

The S4 has seen no changes since its conception in 1997, running from the Roundshaw estate to St. Helier Station Oh yes it has! The S4 started out as Sutton - Roundshaw only. It was then extended to Morden to replace the withdrawn commercial 421; the Morden section was subsequently transferred to new route S7 (now 470). It was only extended to St Helier via its current routeing (using previously unserved roads) in 2006.

The 484 has also had small routeing changes in the Telegraph Hill area, and the B16 has seen changes to its Kidbrooke terminus over the years, although these are all fairly minor changes.

Have routes 96, 492 and 428 seen much (if any) change bar their extensions for the opening of Bluewater? I don't think so

The London Country 492 took a different route between Bexleyheath and Dartford before it was absorbed into the London network when the ill-fated Bexleybus started.

Bus 113 comes to mind as having been quite stable, Edgware - Oxford Circus since about 1940 except for the period when it was cut back to marble Arch.

The U3 has now gone the longest with the same routing, having been extended from Wise Lane Estate to Heathrow Central from 22/05/93 following the withdrawal of the 223. The 222 has followed the same routing since 3/10/34 bar a decade between 03/61 & 01/71 when it was renumbered 223. (Got all those dates from londonbuses.co.uk)

Route 266 has been Hammersmith - Cricklewood Garage long-term and extended to Brent Cross in 1976. Technically speaking the 266 was not extended to Brent Cross but bifurcated. When the 666 trolleybus route was withdrawn in January 1962 the 266 was a direct replacement between Hammersmith and Edgware. In June 1970 there was a major reorganisation of bus routes in NW London. The 266 was revised to run between Hammersmith and Cricklewood daily with a Monday to Friday(evenings excepted)extension to West Hendon and a further extension Monday to Friday peak hours to Colindale Station. When Brent Cross opened not only did the 266 continue to run to Colindale Station during Monday to Friday peak hours, but also gained a Saturday service on this leg. Apparently there were plans for the Hammersmith to Brent Cross service to be numbered 266A but this would not have produced an efficient schedule so for a few years the 266 was bifurcated at Staples Corner.
