I can't remember the last time we still had snow on the ground 5 days after it last snowed! The frosts have been so harsh on cars in the mornings.
Usually like winter weather but had enough this week

Usually like winter weather bit had enough this week I am nowadays about 100 miles west of London, but our frosts have been severe -8.3c yesterday morning, -8.7c this morning I do remember occasional frosts lasting 2 or 3 weeks in the shade back in 1970s and 1980s when I lived on South Coast, but seems to have become rarer, but not exceptional.

We have had a couple of hard frosts this week, which is very unusual for my neck of the woods (Torquay) - we have one of the mildest winter climates in the UK and even a light frost is rare. We haven't had snow, but there has been some only a little way inland and I have seen it on cars.

I think the established and healthy ones will be OK, there was a cold spell with snow in 2018 and most seemed to survive that. Some gardeners do protect theirs as a precaution though.

Usually like winter weather but had enough this week I remember the good old days when Haringey would grit the entire borough, not just the posh parts near Finchley and in Muswell Hill All the back roads in Tottenham are like ice rinks, I will enjoy the temporary thaw until it's back again next week Still, one last hurrah... www.express.co.uk/news/weather/1710295/met-office-snow-ice-warning-uk-cold-weather-this-weekendDISCLAIMER: - if article is from Daily Express, may be dramatization

It may all change again. mobile.twitter.com/TheSnowDreamerTwitter is the Land Rover of social media with some reliability issues, so take everything with a pinch of salt. I subscribe more to the "let's wait and see" model, like Haringey Council's gritting teams

Could possibly be snowing on Monday morning, with the weather set to get cold from Monday to Thursday, though looking like the temperature will stay above freezing during the day this time and the duration of the cold snap is much shorter this time.
At least a break from the gusty winds and persistent rainfall in the past few weeks

Just released :
Snow showers expected next week from Monday evening (6th) onwards, from North East direction. Uncertainty about details at this stage, less likely to settle daytime as ground temperatures too high, but might freeze at night
Might be a clash with a period of Atlantic weather in SW with rain turning to snow where it meets colder air.

At the moment looking not too chilly in the daytime with Tuesday being the coldest at 5c. It's funny this winter hasn't actually been that cold apart from December, I think it's been pleasantly mild
