I see the Parliament Hill crew are out in force in the Camden New Journal saying they are loosing their C2 route (not realising that the 88 will still serve every single stop) and how they campaigned for the route. No they campaigned for a west end link and got it in the form of the 3 then later the 53 before LRT sectioned it off as C2 with SDs. Another letter also says nobody wants hot Boris buses up there and they should instead extend the C2 to Clapham. WTF. Clearly didn't read it says the 88 will uses buses of a similar size to the ones on the 88.

A bit surprised the results of this consultation haven't come out yet.

The date will be in April as that is when the C2 contract ends. Could be as little as a months notice to the changes going ahead.

Does the C2 contract end tie up with the 207 start date? If I remember correctly, the 207 was supposed to be using the E400s from the C2.

No. The 207's new contract (6th April) begins 3 weeks before the C2's contract (27th April) is due to end. And yes the 207 will be using the C2's E400s. I think the changes will happen before April, probably late February/early March.

This could also allow the 12reg to be refurbished in time.

Wouldn't surprise me if they already know.

Maybe not necessarily, if it was retendered it would have needed EuVI hybrids anyway. So those buses were destined to finish on the C2 in April come what may.

The consultation has vanished off the site as it's being updated, so I imagine a result will be out tomorrow or in the next couple of hours.

I did a post on a Facebook group, from someone who works for Abellio, confirming the changes - "Today it has been confirmed Route C2 will cease in late March and Route 88 will be extended to Parliament Hill Fields"
