According to a source on FB, the first sets are to enter service this Friday on the 10:30 from Hainault toward Woodford, formed by 91001 and 91201. It'll return to Hainault by 11:25. So it's going to run in service on the Hainault loop?

Have they added screens inside the 92 stock? Seems a bit late for that

Suggested over on District Dave the refurbished train will enter service tomorrow.
Also reading there it seems trains are not being treated to a full external repaint?

It’s only a limited press event this morning with few trips made around Hainault. Polishing of the exterior surface gets rid of the grim which is hiding a reasonable paint surface.

Oh wow, they actually look so much better! Love the new moquette, already prefer it to that Barman one. It's great to see new PIS displays were finally added to the central line, nice to see the first train enter service

The enthusiast in me is very sad that the refurbished trains just sound like a boring S-stock train.
But that new moquette, nice. So glad it’s not barman.

The refurb certainly makes the trains look better than they do now. The audio announcements are certainly different! So used to Emma!

I wonder if it had that refurbishment smell. Similar to when buses get refurbished they tend to have that near new smell again or is it only just me that thinks this?
