Its happened before with Stagecoach Tridents on the 69 under Tower Transit and more recently Stagecoach E400s on the 20 but this was only x2.
Perhaps they can run with any logos (Assuming these do return to Abellio)
Did the Stagecoach tridents on the 23 bear Stagecoach logos? Nope, they were replaced with TT logos.

Perhaps RATP could keep these as an interim batch, possibly without reblinding or replacing logos - then these (along with a few other LTs from V) could soon return to QB for the 27. It would be far too sensible and cost effective for that to happen. This would make perfect sense. I wonder whether anyone has suggested this.

Was thinking about this a bit more. I wonder if Abellio have started to fit new blinds to LTs excluding 664-681 with route 24 and 27 therefore restricting these to route 211, these then transfer to RATP temporarily then get fitted with new blinds when the 27 moves the other way. I love the assumption that RATP want to operate buses plastered with a rivals (Abellio) logos I would have thought Abellio have to hand them over logo less However if they go back in few months can’t see RATP wasting time sticking there own logos on, If have to come off again Was this the original batch for the 211? I’m pretty sure the allocated batch will move with the 27, I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t.

Maybe RATP will want to get rid of the older examples. Wouldn't it be decided by TfL rather than the operator though? Was this the original batch for the 211? I’m pretty sure the allocated batch will move with the 27, I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t. The 211's original batch was LT768-788. LT768-770 already transferred to WL last summer (though were back at QB briefly over the winter) due to a PVR cut and the part conversion of the 415, while the rest have just been swapped with part of the 68's allocation. It's also worth mentioning there has in effect been some minor shuffling when it comes to RATP's LTs. Those that moved to Metroline in 2017 were the three then-highest numbered (LT175/460/461). Despite the surplus having been created through a reduction on the 9 all of its original batch remained at V, and the same happened when LT149/150 transferred to Fulwell. Meanwhile the 10's PVR remained constant at 23 until the route was withdrawn, and the 27 now needs one more bus. Therefore a handful new to the 9 must now be part of the 27's allocation. Also, in theory RATP and Abellio both now have a few surplus LTs, and Metroline even more so. Assuming 89% availability to be possible (a rough figure for the other three operators, though not always achieved in practice) then up to 19 LTs could be spare. If the transfers were planned in a clever way these could all be grouped together at one of the operators for use on another route, though I'm not saying this is what I expect will happen.

I think the theory that the LTs transferring to RATP could come back to Abellio is a bit far fetched. This swapping of LTs only worked as the LTs from the 68 and 211 are 2016 New Routemasters which was the tender originally stated were the vehicles to be used.
I expect the 24, 27 and 267 will transfer with their allocated batches when the time comes in November.

The contracts start at two completely separate dates so impossible. Shame RATP get the crappy WL LTs.

Despite Abellio seemingly running their LT’s into the ground, QB & WL LT’s are quite reliable actually.

I'm impressed with how rarely QB put conventionals out on the 159/211.
However, I don't think WL having never put a conventional on the 68 because they can use the 415's LTs as back up to keep the 3/68 100% LT.

Another SP on the 267 there's one nearly every day. I have no doubt abellio will run the 267 well but it is evident that those LTs have a problem and with no other DD at TF it Maybe best to bring in a conventional to use as a spare, what do you think? If Abellio have any trouble with route 267 LTs they may have to borrow a double-deck from GW as back-up.

Maybe RATP will want to get rid of the older examples. That's true they are also going to end up with the older 24 batch too! I wonder whether, as route 24 was the first full route to gain LTs, those LTs will stay at HT with route 91 or 390 examples going to Abellio for route 24 instead? This would enable Metroline to keep the first production batch of LTs.

RATP could send the lowest numbered ones to Abellio for the 27 in this case, as in both their ages are actually the same.

If Abellio have any trouble with route 267 LTs they may have to borrow a double-deck from GW as back-up. My ideal solution is that 9487/8 transfer to TF, once the 407 is decked. These buses would be used on the 490 on weekdays but if necesarry can run on the 267. That way TF have spare double deckers for the 267 but if they aren't needed they won't be sitting around doing nothing.
The issue is that one of 9847/8 is allocated to the 109. I can't think of a way of getting around this without ordering new buses unless Abellio have some buses spare from PVR cuts, the 8 from the 45 cut and the 1 indirectly released from the 3 cut will form part of the allocation. Some of you may say 427 cut but who knows when that'll happen

Will be interesting to see the 159's possibility of the odd stray now that it's once again the only LT route from QB, for now. This is bearing in mind that LTs could be borrowed from WL if needed, especially where they still seem to be using the surplus MMCs released from the cut back of the 45.
