Likewise, I did the 118 the other day and it was a breeze. Shows how awful the LTN was. Let’s hope the local councillors lose their seats asap!!! Let's hope someone has some sense (unlikely I know) to have gathered data before and after it was suspended. I have to say thou and admittedly I was a little bit before the rush hour but the 109s and 250s I took on different days were not as busy as they used to be. I always used to find they were the sort of routes anytime of days both deck were quite full. I really hope the damage of the LTN hasn't permanently caused people to re think their journeys. You’ll be pleased to know 109’s & 250’s still load as busy as ever, probably just the journey you got on as you say |

I'm so glad they've suspended the LTNs at Streatham Wells. The amount of buses I used to see going through Leigham Court Road I.e 109, 118 to avoid the main part of Streatham.
They need to banish this one immediately. I like what Wandsworth did back around 2020/21 where LTNs were put around Beechcroft road and those folks voted with their feet to get that reversed.
As for the cyclists there was one that was cycling carelessly on the road with his camera on the top and deliberately holding up traffic. I had to drive around him and told him to pull up to the side. I had to sternly say to him to be very careful cycling like that on a busy road as there are drivers out there that are not like me that would take the time to talk to him and would knock him over with no care. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson from that day forward because I can't lie some of those people are moving mad

I suspect more people would have jumped into cars … if you have to sit in traffic, might as well do in the comfort of your car! |

I suspect more people would have jumped into cars … if you have to sit in traffic, might as well do in the comfort of your car! Lambeth has a low car ownership rate - anyone who needed to traverse the corridor would more than likely use an alternative like Uber or simply put up with it. Most of the non LTN congestion in Lambeth is from others outside travelling through the borough, usually along the A23 |

There will be longer distance travellers as well! |
