Now that First have won the Thameslink franchise and are going to rename it "First Capital Connect", I wonder what will happen to the names of the London stations? Are they going to change stations like City Thameslink, King's X Thameslink and West Hampstead Thameslink?? and to what??
They can't exactly call City Thameslink "City First" or "City Connect" - well they can, but it just doesn't sound right!! lol.

Oh god, looks like Thameslink passengers will have problems galore!!!! First are great at running Intercity routes like Great Western, but from my experiences, and their management style, they're useless at commuter services, which is probably why they didn't get the Liverpool Street franchise!!! From my dad's comments, when he worked at First Great Eastern, their man management isn't exactly superb lol

Maintainance seems to be there weak point with constant breakdown of trains.

Well, Great Eastern the maintenance seemed..........ok, wanting for a better word. Although, the 315's ended up looking a complete wreck, and neglected throughout. However, it's still their man management skills that need working on.

Just a bit - I'd be interested to do the V Shuttle myself this year as it goes. This may be the case - all I'm aware of is that we have a "Thameslink Night Rota" at DM..
