Except that would leave two DEL's unallocated as the 143's TVR is 14. The 316 could be a good candidate especially as it runs through a green corridor and would allow it's upgraded DE's to move to the 143 which is now using older DE's. This would leave the 316 majority DEL allocated with three DE's completing the allocation. 143's PVR is 14. So TVR would be 15 or 16. If you're looking at londonbusroutes.net, the extra 2 buses on the 143 are listed under the school section. Not sure why, as the schedule on the TfL site lists a PVR of 14 on school holidays as well. Looking at the contract start dates on londonbusroutes.net, it appears that the 143 SDO journey is on a separate contract (which has the same start date as the 643 - 30/06/2018). The main contract for the core 143 commenced on 24/06/2017.

The 143 would be a good option. There are 16 DLEs for a PVR of 14. This would withdraw DE859 - 874 straight away. DE875 - 877, 957, 960, 1015 - 1020, 1603, 1605, 1608, 1612, 1614, 1615 would leave when the 232 goes to GAL but 1015 - 1020 could go to UX to replace the 08 reg there currently.

From the Tender award thread, Furthermore, Metroline even have the option of reallocating route 143 or 210 back to HT and releasing even more space at W if this helps. This would make winning both route 102 & 139 feasible. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure 210 has never been allocated to HT since returning to Metroline via Thorpes? I doubt it has operated from HT since then. I do remember it at HT from 1986-90 though.

Once most or all VMHs up to 2576 are in service (which they may well already be) Metroline will have the largest quantity of EvoSetis in service in London, beating Go-Ahead and Tower Transit.

The main contract for the core 143 commenced on 24/06/2017. Londonbusroutes.net is slightly misleading about the 143 SDO operation. The DD journeys are indeed on a separate contract (starting 06/2018), using 1 DD from HT. The additional SD journeys, however, are on the main contract starting 06/2017. The main contract therefore involves a total PVR of 14, all from W.

Or the 143 could use DELs from W? I think there is a restriction on the 143 from using DDs in the Finchley area - this is why the 611/643 go via East End Lane instead. The 143 and 316 are currently allocated 10reg and 59reg DEs respectively. The 316 is currently using mostly 10reg due to the Edgware Road LEBZ, but the 59reg will eventually need to be upgraded to euro6 as well so I would expect allocations to revert as such. Temporarily, the 143/C11 have seemingly swapped vehicles with the 232/316. When the 232 is lost to NP, I would expect Metroline to withdraw DE859-870, DE957/960 and the ex-First 58reg examples. The 11reg examples currently allocated to the 232 could transfer to the 268 to replace the ex-First examples.

TE990 is currently on route 107, curtailed to "New Barnet, Great North Road". Is this a new turning point and shouldn't it be called "New Barnet, Everyman Cinema" as the previous terminus was called the Odeon before the cinema owners changed? If it is the same turning point (I don't know the area) the road name is surely better to save cost of blinds etc if the owners of the cinema change again? In all honestly it should be called "High Barnet Station" as the terminus is one stop on from there, and the road name isn't that commonly used in the local area. But yes, I see your point about cost-effectiveness.

Was on the 112 today, and I noticed something different about the ibus announcement, usually after the bus stops it'll wait at least 5 seconds until it announces the route and destination but it was like 10 or 15 seconds and the same thing when I was on the 226 and 232, is this a new thing for ibus or is it just a trial?

I noticed this briefly on the 62, but I put it down to me not actually paying attention. I might take a listen on my travels tomorrow.

I noticed the same while I was on the 86 & 474 today as well and this iBus destination announcement change applies to all routes/destinations regardless if the destination display scrolls like the ''474 to Canning Town, Barking Road'' display or the destination display doesn't scroll on the iBus.

Have the VMHs for the 317 arrived at PB yet ready for Saturday? If not there should be enough spare TEs available for a small PVR route
