Would be great to use them on the 206, same PVR, would also allow the Ex First buses to return if leased? but all of WJs ex-First DEs are owned including the 206s 12reg DELs which not long ago were refurbished Yes, I rode DEL1972 today for example. I was amused when I saw later saw DEL1977. There was a little gap in the fleetnumber at the front, so it read DEL1 977.

Are the BYD double decks withdrawn from route 98 still with Metroline, or have they now moved to a new location? Please excuse me if I've overlooked this in an earlier post. I noticed one of them inside AC this afternoon. As an aside, I saw a few indigenous VWs on route 260 - 1287, 1288, 1290 & 1296 I think - and even ex-First 1819 on route 302. 1287/1288 are at HD not AC. You probably saw two of VW1289/1292/1293.

Oh yes I think 1292 rings a bell, having been refurbished and all red at the front. I tend to write down the vehicles I ride but rarely ad-hoc observations.

I think the OMEs will displace remaining VMHs at PB to PA, enabling some VWs to come to EW to finally convert route 292.
Then spare TEHs ex-route 266 not needed for route 282 could in theory enable further SEL withdrawals. In practice Metroline have prioritised TE withdrawals, no doubt as these have a higher resale value than SELs.

In practice Metroline have prioritised TE withdrawals, no doubt as these have a higher resale value than SELs. The 292 already has its own batch of VWs. There should be enough VMHs from HT and PB to convert the 31 and 90 to release enough VWs for the 297 without needing the TEHs from the 266.

I have only just received the new SUP and thus not yet updated it. I am relieved that the SEL days are numbered.

There will only be one TEH from the 266 not needed for the 282, this could either go to G as an additional spare allowing a TE there to return to PB or we could also see that surplus TEH go elswhere, perhaps EW if the 240 ends up getting TEHs from the 271 instead of VWs.

I am wondering how well the electric buses are performing on the 43 and 134 given that we are nearly in December and both routes *should* have been fully converted by now.
To be fair on the 43, most days it is just BDEs during the morning and afternoons, however come evening hybrids appear. Conversion of the N43 to electric buses hasn't even started. All the electric 43s bar two are now in service, so you would expect at least the complete day service including evenings to be BDEs. At worst you would expect no more than 2 hybrids as replacement for the two BDEs yet to go into service.
There are 16 OMEs in service on the 134, though only about half seem to see service each day. With 16 OMEs you would expect at least half the service to be electric buses.
I wonder when these routes will go fully electric?

VWH2189b - VWH2193b seem to be unbranded now. Unsure about VWH2188b & VWH2237b

With only the 148 to pull buses from (which can't be used on the 94) there may have to be a retention of some hybrids for till atleast summer next year. Can't help thinking it would make sense to transfer another route in (maybe the 306) to atleast have an option for the N94 if the Electrics needs to charge up.

Problem is there's hardly any space at S. If there was though the 220 to S could have been an option.

The BDEs seem to be very reliable and Metroline generally take longer putting new buses in service. I don’t think any additional routes are required nor any hybrids and also buses at V and S have each other’s blinds so there can be loans.
